What a nice board of Coldplay fans :) !

 

I (try to) write brit'pop songs and I recorded few songs in my small home studio. I would be really glad to have your opinion even if I know it's quite rare that french people get success singing brit'pop :embarrased: !

 

Anyway, tell me what you honestly think about these two ones for instance:

pull the trigger is an excellent song.

I like Alright. It's got a "Good Day Sunshine" feel to it. Very nice. The trumpets in the backround are a nice touch.

I'm happy to see that opinions are different.

Concerning Alright I was really happy with the trumpets and horns in the background but now that I set up a band to play my songs this one sounds really "empty" without all the brass section :( ! Need some money to hire more people in the band :D !!

No problem. I love hearing stuff that isn't poisoning the industry right now....that's why indie music is so good.

the poppy one reminds me of like, Travis, or Oasis or something I can't put my finger on...

 

In it's class (pop) it is a great sounding song. Though I don't care much for that poppyniss.

I can sitill make out the french accent though. But it goes well with the song.

BTW I saw them in concert this summer during the "Rock en Seine" festival (Paris) and theyr were just incredible :blush: !!

They probably were. I don't know much about other French music though.....there aren't a whole lotta internatonal supeerstanrs, if you know what I mean.

it's on my mp3 player, and two of your other songs as well ("is this it?" and "come little daughter"). i don't think it sounds THAT britpop.....you don't have to force yourself to limit your music like that. you make so many different styles, actually.
