My Long-Awaited Introduction

Featured Replies

I first heard of coldplay December 24th. I was watching MUCHMUSIC for the new Hedley video 'Trip' when on came an incredibly catchy little tune called 'Talk' with an incredibly cool video.

The next day I ran out and bought Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head and X&Y. It was love at first listen.

Why oh why, I asked, had I not heard of this brilliant band before? I forgot about the Hedley video (which is still cool) and have been listening to Coldplay for over a month NON-STOP.

My favorite songs are:

Shiver

Spies

The Scientist

Green Eyes

Amsterdam (THE BEST SONG IN THE WHOLLLLE UNIVERSE.......!)

Fix You

A Message

Twisted Logic

A Rush of Blood to the Head is the best CD I have ever heard. It's cover is extremely creepy and I still haven't figured out what it is (A hoodie?!?!) but I like it.

Also, what's with the globe? It's in the 'Shiver' video I noticed, but why?

(Nice site you have here.)

You have come to the right place! Welcome to the forum and your story sounds very cute...too bad you just discovered them..but at least you did :D

I never knew what exactly it was. But I do know that the covers of the singles are parts of the guys body

The globe was just part of Parachutes.. it was their theme :idea2: also the cover of Parachutes :D

Yes, I knew the globe was on the Parachutes cover, but what does it signify?

Thanks for the welcome!

It's too bad, but close by Coldplay had a concert (Vancouver) but I couldn't afford the tickets at the time...

I have to admit, though, I don't like the song 'Daylight', and I don't know why...

Hey, if it makes you feel any better.. I've never been to a Coldplay concert :/ Something always happens :dozey:

I think it just signifies that we live in a beautiful world  I have no idea, I don't really have any interviews where it gets mentioned that, so I'll let someone else help you with that ;)

Hey! I forgot to tell you to check out the Multimedia section. Please read the stickies before making a thread. There's a lot of song you haven't heard of Coldplay yet! Here's the link for you to check them out

Welcome to the site! :D

hey and welcome.

About the GLOBE, the reason for it, was they just liked it. Here a couple of quote for your from an interview for MTV2 from 2002

''When your on your first album, a £14.99 globe from WHSmiths is about as big as production gets'' - chris

''It was never a lucky mascot it just looked cool'' - chris
