Panic!

Panic! :P How do you react in an emergency?

Okay, twice this week already, my sis and I got completely freaked out because we thought there was a buglar in our house. :laugh3:

The first time, my sister was walking downstairs, and she darted back up saying "omg Alyssa, I think there's someone in the house--in the laundry room. I saw their shadow and once I started talking they paused"-- and then I heard the laundry room door shut, and my heart, like, skipped 2 beats. :laugh3:

I ran into my sister's room and locked the doors, and we about to jump of my sister's balcony (and I was holding my sister's guitar to smash over someone's head in case) when we saw my dad's Lexus outside. Haha, I was so freaking relieved. "Shit! It was just dad!"

I was so ready to freaking kill someone with that guitar. :laugh3: That was a major adrenaline rush though, haha. I felt really, uh, pumped afterward, lol.

The second time, I walked in the house and I heard a door shut, so my sister and her boyfriends got our gun replicas, took of the orange tips (they look [and feel] real actually, haha), and ran upstairs. :laugh3: I heard another door shut and got hella freaked out, but it was just the pressure or something inside our house that was closing doors and such, haha.

Oh yeah, and there's been many actually emergencies here... there's been earthquakes here quite often and the last one was pretty big :laugh3:. During every earthquake we dart outside, grabbing whatever on the way, haha.

Oh yeah, and there was this convict guy running around our neighborhood and there was this helicopter circling over trying to find him. Eh, we locked all the doors. :uhoh:

ANNYWAYYYY

oh wow... there's a lot going on in your neighbourhood :o

naah, i've never been in such situations...

always have a loud tape recorder of an alsatian or bulldog bark to hand. That usually solves the burglar thing at least.

I'm a panicator. I'm always worried so I need a liiiitle thing to start a panic. Every time my pc runs crazy or I can't do something or anything like that I'm so freaking nervious that I don't even know why.

I can't think of anuthing special now but maybe I'll remember later.

whenever i'm alone in the house i grab the biggest knife we that i can find in the kitchen and go in my room and lock the door... i think im a little paranoid when im by myself:confused:

Huh... When I'm alone I always hear something. I mean, noices. It sounds like I'm on drugs, but seriously, I have hallucinations when I'm alone. I can even hear human's voices. That's why when I'm alone at home (very very often) I lock the door in my room, sit in my chair and turn on the music as loud as I can. Creepy though.

Whoa. Jeez. O.o

When I'm home alone I never turn the music up. I get freaked out if I can't hear all that's going around me. Even when I'm wearing headphones I have to have one ear without it on. I have to be aware just incase someone barges in the house. Heh.

Always have a remote fire alarm set-off switch, for dummy runs incase someone breaks in.

Huh, Alyssa, that's wise actually. But when I have anything in my head that isn't supposed to be there it's better for me to take my headphones and turn on the music. If anyone breaks my door and comes in at least I'll die with my fave songs in my ears.

i cant stay by myself in the house at night or i start to cry i get so scared!!! i have to be on the phone with my friend (and in the room with the biggest knife that i can find) i lock my door.... BUT THAT DOESNT HELP THE FEAR!!!!:uhoh:

This is me in my house alone at night: :bigcry:

this is me paranoid::inquisitive: or i get crazy and have binoculars and spy on everything and everyone outside :shifty:

I freak out and start running when i'm scared...but other times i'm frozen to the place im standing.

One time my mom and I were in the dining room (you can see my front door from the dining room) and the door was locked. Then suddenly the lock on the door started turning and I was like "OMG! OMG!" and i ran to back door. But it was just my aunt, I left my keys in the door. My mom gets mad when I get scared and start sprinting because I forget about her and my neice.

A few days ago I was watching "The Others" downstairs at like 2 in the morning and my mom was going upstairs to go to sleep. When the movie ended I was about to go upstairs in my room but I could see that my bedroom light was on (i NEVER leave it on when i'm not in the room). So I stood at the bottom of the stairs for like 2 minutes. Then I ran upstairs to my mom's room and she told me she turned on my light so I wouldn't be scared to come upstairs :dozey: .

Oh, and alyssa a guitar is a great weapon!:P I know i would use mine! And my mom has a titanium baseball bat just for intruders...

I actually go into protector mode. My adrenaline starts pumping, but I'm so calm and rational in deciding how to handle the situation, it probably causes others to panic a little, haha.
