How dangerous is Christmas really?

My sister and me have just reflected about something that happened at christmas some years ago......

 

I was lightning the candles on our Advent wreath.....my little sister was standing next to me.....suddenly she started screaming:

 

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....JULIAAAA....you are burning!"

 

And yeah what did I see?

 

Smoke coming out of my trousers and an arm that was burning (but not in real flames.....only in this blue colour....).....instead of turning off these trousers immediately I ran through the house.......to my mum and after all she told me to turn the trousers off immmediately....lol...

 

haha that was my little christmas story....

 

so now the question is....

 

Did anything similar happen to one of you guys which has to do with christmas?

(like a burning christmas tree, etc....)

That's some funny story, Jules :laugh1: I mean, it's very dangerous and I'm sorry to laugh but I can picture you running in burning trouses around the X-mas tree so well :wacko: Yeah, I'm rude, sorry.

 

All I can recall now is that crazy thing that happened to me on the first night of 2003 (yeah, that wa s a New Year night, not the Christmas eve. But we clebrate NY too, so anyways) when I had to go back home form Poland with my friends and sister but something was wrong with the bus and we had to celebrate NY right there, in the bus :lol: It actually was pretty sad 'cause I was planning to celebrate it in Russia with my parents and all.... But the good thing is that it was a great night, I mean, that's one of the things you never forget. Of course, it could be the usual NY evening with tasty food and family and presents and all.... But what you really can recall through the years is something special, like that crasy NY in the bus somewhere in the middle of Poland with 'bounties' and good friends next to you *feels touched* :nice:

ha Lera.....you are allowed to laugh about it......actually I wanted to post a ":laugh4: but I didn't....because I was scared of people who could tell me that I shouldn't laugh about things like that...lol..

i wanted to light the advent wreath too... well, i lit a match and planned to light the first candle. however... it didn't work. so i've tried it from several angles when the match burned down and burned my finger. i immediately threw it away. right on the couch +_+

thank god the speed of my throw turned out the match!

I spent New YEar's Eve/day on a bus too. I was 13 and travelling home with my mum from my grandparents' house. THE FRIGGIN' BUS BROKE DOWN!! So, there we sat at midnight...a few ppl sang and some old drunk guy hit on my mum. Ok, it doesn't sound too funny now, but it was...you had to be there.

Uh, the Christmas tree fell on my neice when she was three... She's OK.

And I remember going to see the first Harry Potter with my brother. My mom told us to take cab fare but he wouldn't listen. So after the movie we stood outside of the mall for like, TWO HOURS. Traffic was really bad. Then all of a sudden I hear "HO HO HO!" and I say to my brother "OH MY GOD, A CHRISTMAS PARADE!!!" And he said, "Jenika, Shut up!" Then we see santa come by on this huge float....

It was a really long time ago but I can still rememeber seeing it start to fall....
