i like the Garbage stuff the did in the 90s ("Trick is to keep Breathing" is one of my all-time favourites)... the new Single is quiet o.k, but I don't know how the rest of the album will sound like.

Garbage announce new single

A 'best of' is set to follow

 

Garbage have announced the release of a new single 'Tell Me Where It Hurts' on July 16.

 

The track taken from the band's forthcoming 'best of' 'Absolute Garbage' which is released on July 23.

 

The track is released on two 7" formats and one CD . Each 7" has a different b-sides- 'Bad Boyfriend' (Sting Like A Bee remix') and 'All The Good In This Life'. The CD features the track 'Betcha'

 

Meanwhile singer Shirley Manson is rumoured to be working on a solo project.

Singer reveals that band are working on new material and hints at 2011 tour.

 

Garbage have reunited and are set to release their first album in five years, according to Shirley Manson.

 

Speaking to the Herald Scotland, the singer confirmed that the band are working on new material for their fifth LP "right now" and hinted that they will tour next year.

 

The band went on hiatus in 2005 when Manson left to record a solo album, although no material was ever released following an apparent dispute with her record company.

 

She commented: "We've recorded quite a lot but it's difficult to quantify. We're just winging it right now."

 

Manson, who launched an acting career during the band's hiatus, alluded to the sessions in a message to her Facebook followers earlier this year.

 

Garbage's last studio album, 'Bleed Like Me', was released in 2005.
