Jonny Buckland: We're fortunate to be working with Brian Eno

Featured Replies

Coldplay have spoken for the first time about their new album and working with Brian Eno.

The legendary producer recently confirmed he is in the studio with Chris Martin and co, as they look to follow-up their third LP, "X&Y".

Speaking in London at one of the sell-out Arcade Fire shows last week, guitarist Jonny Buckland said Coldplay felt fortunate to be working with Eno.

"Well, we kind of more feel that he picked us really. With someone like Brian, if you can persuade him to work with you, you're doing well", he told the BBC.

Meanwhile, Eno has explained how the project is coming along, commenting: "They want to take their music somewhere else.

"We're really at the very beginning of it, but it sounds very promising to me", he revealed.

On other matters, Chris Martin said he did not expect Coldplay to appear at Glastonbury "for a good 15 years", before revealing what he thought of Arcade Fire.

"I think they have complete raw brilliance. It's very comforting when you're a great big rock band to see a band that you think is a lot better than yours.

"It gives you something to aim for, you know", he said.
