Coldplay To Release Vinyl Box Set

Coldplay has boxed up all 14 of its singles for the aptly named collection "The Singles 1999-2006," due March 26 in the United Kingdom via Parlophone.

The package of 7-inch vinyl singles eventually will be available in the United States via Capitol, according to a spokesperson.

Five of the singles are making their vinyl debut in this box: 1999's "The Blue Room" EP (here split into two singles), "Don't Panic," "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face," "What If" and "The Hardest Part." "The Singles" will not be released on CD, according to the band's web site.

Coldplay is recording its fourth studio album with producer Brian Eno, with an eye on a late 2007 release. The group will begin a short South American tour February 14 in Santiago, Chile.
