I present to you... Tropfest 2007, the biggest short film festival in the world! Each film is <7 minutes long, and it's an annual event held in Canberra, Australia's capital and was attended by 17,000 film buffs this year :D

 

The site hosts videos for all the finalists of Tropfest 2007, and some of the real good ones I've seen are An Imaginary Life, Between The Flags, The Grey Cloud and Road Rage. They're all good quality, the lot, with a proper budget and everything... Most of them have a cinematic feel to them, like you're watching something made for cinema, only that the footage is real short. :laugh3: Watch out for the sneezes (which is the compulsory item that must be included for all entrants this year) ;)

didn't know the sneezes were compulsory hehe! i'll have to watch them again.

 

i like the one about crunala (spelling?) beach were those two guys end up coming to riot but are too early hehe.

 

Road Rage ! a masterpiece.

Well, I'm not really into shorts either but these films surprised me - I'd never have thought you could cram in that much narrative into 7 minutes...
