Help needed with ipod!

Featured Replies

I have just transferred my entire itunes library from my old computer to my new laptop. Since doing this, i have also added a few songs to my library from my computer. The problem is now when i try and sync my ipod to add the new songs to it, a message from Windows appears saying: "Do you want to scan and fix "SARAH'S IPOD" (F: )? There might be a problem with some files on this device or disc. This can happen if you move the device or disc before all files have been written to it." Below this there is the option to, "Scan and fix (recommended)," so i click on it but it doesn't work. Instead another box from Explorer.exe appears saying, " The disc check could not be performed because Windows cannot access the disc." What does that mean and what do i do now? I've been looking on the itunes support website but to no avail. Please help! :(

have you tryed putting your ipod into disk mode? that way windows should recognize the disk.

I've done that now and it solved that problem, but it still won't add the new songs to my ipod, and yes, i have taken it out of disc mode and reconnected it. I've even tried resetting my ipod then reconnecting it and that didn't work either :(

sorry I know nothing of computers. Ill keep bumping this thread for you tho. My only advice is call Geek Squad.

ok this is weird but i had to do it when i transferred songs to get it to sync. when you plug your ipod in does itunes recognize it in the panel to the left? if it does click on that and go to the music tab i think. the "all songs bubble" should be filled in. click on the bubble below it and then click "all music or songs" again. then in the bottom right click apply.

when i did that it synced all my songs.
