Sucks, but I'm definitely finishing it up after my school book. Argh.

The Tipping Point: How Little Things Make a Big Difference by Malcolm Gladwell.

Never heard of it...good read?

BTW If you want to join my 5,000th post party we'll all be in the Post Party thread! You oughta drop by! We'll have music, pizza, and drinks!

If you're in a time crunch I suggest "Tuck Everlasting." It's about a girl who finds an immortal family. It's only 100 pages but it's really good.

For me I love reading books that were made into movies so I can compare the two. I'm half-way through Forrest Gump [Winston Groom] and I read Carrie [stephen King :stunned:]

Oh! And I recommend "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides! I haven't finished yet but it's really interesting. It's about this hermaphrodite. She decides to live as a man in her late 20s and he narrates from the very beginning. How can I make that more clear...eh... It starts with his grandparents and gradually the book becomes more about him.

The Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger is great.

Audrey Niffenegger's innovative debut, The Time Traveler's Wife, is the story of Clare, a beautiful art student, and Henry, an adventuresome librarian, who have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six, and were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry thirty-one. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity in his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing.

The Time Traveler's Wife depicts the effects of time travel on Henry and Clare's marriage and their passionate love for each other as the story unfolds from both points of view. Clare and Henry attempt to live normal lives, pursuing familiar goals—steady jobs, good friends, children of their own. All of this is threatened by something they can neither prevent nor control, making their story intensely moving and entirely unforgettable.

Never heard of it...good read?

I really liked it, I was shocked that I'd like a nonfiction book that was required reading!

It's about how trends and epidemics start and the details that go into successes and failures. It's really interesting, and it's fairly simple to understand. I finished it in two days. :P Highly recommend it! It really made me think of the little things that happen in our society...and it inspires me to start some things of my own. :)

:D Very good book. Intelligent book that makes you think.

I'm going to check that one out then! It sounds like something I'd be interested in.

The same author also published a book called 'Blink', which I'm told is also very good, if you would like to check that out as well. :D

Not sure, might be something similar. I haven't heard much of it, only been told my a friend that it's good.

Okay, I'll look it up.

I just read "The Runaway Jury" by John Grisham. I love that book.

I've only seen the movie. Does it compare?

I saw it as well. The book is about a thousand times better. The movie puts in so much extra tension and action that actually ruins parts of the story. The book was so perfect just the way it was. I would highly recommend you read it, it is so good.
