SHANE Warne took Coldplay frontman Chris Martin on a secret visit to Flowerdale last week.

 

The singer and the spinner spent a day visiting bushfire relief centres in the area.

 

Martin asked to be taken into the fire zone as he wanted to get a greater insight into the disaster, and the relief and rebuilding plans.

 

"Chris basically wanted to know what he was singing for," a source said.

Warne and Martin are great mates, and the spinner offered to take him.

 

Warne has visited several relief centres since Black Saturday.

 

Coldplay starred at the Sydney section of Saturday's massive Sound Relief bushfire concert. Part of the Sydney funds is for Queensland flood victims.

 

Martin teamed with John Farnham on You're The Voice and Warne played percussion.
