busybeeburns
Snakes escape on Qantas flight An Australian airliner was grounded after four baby pythons escaped from their container in the aircraft's hold. The snakes, just six inches long, were among 12 Stimson's pythons being flown from Alice Springs to Melbourne. At first it was thought the reptiles may have been eaten by the other snakes, but this was discounted after they were weighed on landing. Passengers were transferred to other aircraft. The jet was fumigated but the snakes' bodies are yet to be found. "They're not endangered so a decision was made to fumigate...if these snakes turn up they will be very much dead snakes," David Epstein of Qantas said. It is not known how the snakes - which can grow up to a metre in length - escaped from their container. They were being transported in the cargo hold of the aircraft in a bag inside a plastic foam box with air holes. The passenger aircraft returned to service on Wednesday. Violet
Well, at least they weren't poisonous. Not that strangulation is good either, but I think you get what I mean.
rudy_o
Talking about snakes, two days ago my dad took home a snake, saying that he wanted to keep it as a pet. My mom and I started to argue (because it's only me and my mom who are staying alone at home in the morning, so we're afraid if the snake escapes :P) Then, my dad asked his friend to take care the snake for a day or two. And yesterday, the nightmare becomes a reality.. The snake did escape at my dad's friend's home!

rudy_o
Yeah. Until now, no one knows where did the snake go. The snake is huge though. My dad has a strange interest- he loves wild animals. He even had a pet monkey, iguana and scorpion ten years ago.
Violet
We once had to stop the car on the way to town because on the way up there, I felt something on my foot, and it was a rather large copperhead (venemous snake). That was NOT a good experience for me.
