The former Chelsea star - whose career could now be in serious doubt - is being treated for a suspected broken pelvis and broken wrists after the crash. His superbike collided with a Ford Fiesta on Forest Road, Walthamstow, east London at 10.30am. Ambulance crews arrived on the scene before the air-ambulance landed nearby, but it was not used. An eyewitness immediately recognised Cudicini as he lay on the roadside as crowds gathered. The 36-year-old hit a Ford Fiesta at around 10.30am on Forest Road, Walthamstow, east London. The female driver and a child passenger walked away from the car - which was described as a 'write off' - and did not need hospital treatment. 'He has been taken to an east London hospital for further assessment and treatment.' The car was left a write-off but the woman and child inside were able to walk away unharmed Roads were closed in the area after the incident which is being investigated by the Chadwell Heath collision investigation unit. No arrests have been made. A statement on the club's website said: 'Carlo Cudicini has fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis after being involved in a road accident this morning. 'The 36-year-old Italian goalkeeper has been admitted to hospital and undergone scans under the supervision of club medical staff. 'The club will update supporters on Carlo as soon as there is any further information.' The crash took place on Forest Road in Walthamstow, east London Cudicini arrived at White Hart Lane in January having been signed by Harry Redknapp on a free transfer after a decade of service at Chelsea. He was first choice for four seasons at Stamford Bridge until the arrival of Petr Cech. He spent almost 10 years at the west London club after spells at AC Milan and Lazio.
