Applying to Universities is a drag

Featured Replies

I'll have to apply again in a year's time to do teaching. I think I already know which universities I'm gonna apply to. I can only apply to four though which sucks. I have no idea what I'm gonna do if they don't offer me a place. :\

You can apply to 5.

It's only 4 for teaching according the leaflet I was given. I'm gonna check that now.

That's bullshit, if you are doing it through UCAS you can apply for 5, why would it be any different just because it was teaching?

I sent my application off today, nervous.

One girl I graduated with applied to over 20 universities. :freak:

Americaland =/= Engerland.

I've heard that university applications in England is much more competitive.

I don't think you can apply for a PGCE through UCAS. The information was correct, you can only apply for 4.

Yeah fair enough if it's not UCAS.

I want to go to Manchester, but I seriously doubt I will get in there as I have left it far too late to apply and their grades are pretty high, Sussex would be great, there or Reading, both pretty good for what I want to do and are near enough to London to benefit from it and far enough away to not be overcome by it.

Yeah Manchester Uni's quite difficult to get in. I tried to get a transfer after first year. They first said they'd consider my application after they saw my transcript but they then told me there was no places on the course. :(

I see what you mean. It's definitely gonna be a big change for you then, even Manchester's pretty far away and it must take forever to get home from Sussex or Reading. it can be nice to start all over again though. It was for me anyway.

Why are you assuming that my post had anything to do with what you had posted before?

The fact that it did.

Thank god for CAO forms,

fill out one form with all the courses you want to do and send it off. :nice:

It doesn't make the choosing of the courses easier,

but it saves time :laugh4:

The fact that it did.

I didn't post that because I thought you were wrong, I posted that because I thought it was insane that someone would apply to that many.

The world doesn't revolve around you.

Well if it wasn't physically impossible, it would.

I didn't find my UCAS form last year that stressful to be honest with you.
