What is your single, favorite Coldplay lyric?

I personally need to think about it, but I'd be interested in knowing yours.

Well, honestly, I'm interested in that from a few of you. Others? Well, I don't really know you that well.

this one is an easy for me.... its like they wrote this about me:

* So I look in your direction

But you pay me no attention do you?

And it's you I see, but you don't see me.

And it's you I hear, so loud and clear

ahh that sums up my whole story with chicks

i mostly listen to the music.

but the clocks lyrics are pretty catchy to me.

my life?............

none of their songs...or lyrics

i'll just say the music fits me

hope i'm understanding you write. it might be because i'm a little tired, but i'm not sure i understood that.

i usually don't listen to any lyrics for any band.

i dont listen to black people lyrics... wait that didnt come out right... im trying to say i dont listen to rap lyrics.. because idont speak ebonics... hmm maybe that didnt come off racist

don't worry i come off racist a lot. not on the message board. here in my life. sounds bad, but i can't put it any other way. i'm not a fan of that music either.

that does seem kind of racist to me, but i don't think that was your intent. i think it might be a little intolerant.

well to some people it might be. being they're so sensitive. over here i bet i'd get yelled at for saying that. :stunned:

in all fairness, i'm not sure how you could put it better, either. maybe just say "i'm not a fan of the language" rather than "i don't speak ebonics." to some people, the way 'ebonics' is used there might seem like a denegrating term.

anti-social and intolerant - im on a roll
you are, and i just met you today

I just figured out my favorite lyric

"And how could anybody deny you"

Not much, but it always gets me.

i don't really know the lyrics to green eyes, but the song reminds me of chris martin.

you know he sung that song to me  and sat right in front of me to do it :D

for real?

did he flash his gang sign? (see my avatar)

i don't remember any gang signs being flashed.

he did flash a smile though :smug:

oh, that's cool! usually those hardcore O.G.'s don't crack the white like that, but Chris is a different breed, I guess. I think we're all really lucky he didn't bust a cap in your ass.

hmm

guess he knew i was from the ghetto and he shouldn't mess with people like me

well i'm black and i listen to coldplay, do you have a problem with me?

as for saying "black people lyrics", you could have just said rap lyrics, it would have saved you the confusion. Know what you going to say before you offend people. I'm not angry at you and i don't think you are terrible person, you just picked the wrong words to express your views. Back to the subject, i would have to say: come on now, don't you want to see/ just what a difference you've made in me/

i'll be waiting oh no matter what you say/ cause i've been waiting for days and days and days" - moses. I picked that song because it reminds me of this girl i really like and every time i see her, she just makes me want to write beautiful poems for her. But ..ahem.. :/ i still have not introduced myself to her. I see every tuesday and thursday on my way to class. I've said "hi" to her but that's as far i can go.....any advice????

I love the whole 'Politik' lyrics... but 'questions of science, science and progress do not speak as loud as my heart' makes me tremble... I guess that's my favorite...
