I want to make a stop motion video to a Coldplay song and put it on Youtube.

I doubt this will ever happen but, if it becomes popular, I could put ads on the video and earn some money :D!

 

But... Youtube is very strict with that sort of thing. Copyrights and such.

Why exactly is that? And how can I make a video with a Coldplay song in it and not have it taken down?

You are , there are Millions of Videos with coldplay songs around youtube.

and some use the vids to earn money.

I assume this as Coldplay's twitter tweeted the link to said video... I guess you'll find out when YouTube sends you an email to remove or not :)
