hoover751
Since Charlie Brown will be a single, will this give it more publicity in America (such as being put on the Billboard Top 100)?
The Red Army
Well in the States, Coldplay have never really been big on the Charts. They have had only 2 songs in the Top 10......Viva la Vida in 2008 and Speed of Sound in 2005. And they don't really need publicity, they are already established and one of the biggest, if not the biggest band in the world. Also, ETIAW and Paradise have charted in the Top 15 in the Billboard Chart as well. Charlie Brown will probably be another Top 15 or Top 10 song and even if it isn't, it doesn't matter, Coldplay don't need the publicity, IMO. I always hear from people how that song was all over the radio when it came out...
Dan Medina
I think they need to promote their singles. At least, the best one.. which on Mylo Xyloto is Charlie Brown (even if Paradise / Princess are more commercial than Charlie... but Charlie is more "Coldplay thing"). The VLV era was really huge on promotion. The sales of Viva were high in USA due the massive promotion of the album on iTunes, tv shows and radio, etc. And now they have booked concerts in Usa/Can, so... they have to make people buy their concert's tickets. :)
