You Know What I Don't Understand?

Featured Replies

I don't think that one has to absolutely like all of an artist's work to be a fan. I certainly do not love everything that Coldplay does. I have my gripes about this album and all of the others too. Besides my few complaints I really enjoyed mx. Other people on this forum enjoyed it much less than I do and just because I like it more doesn't make me anymore of a fan than they are. The great thing about this forum is that we are all a bunch of Fans that like to have good discussion and respect each others' opinions even when we disagree.

But on the other hand, I also find it annoying and pointless when some coldplayers constantly complain and create a myriad of pointless threads to hate on mx that do not even serve legitimate discussion and debate. The same goes for all the pointless "mx is great haters suck" threads. Also, in my opinion if someone on this site doesn't like Coldplay anymore, they should just leave and stop posting negative things that don't even incite a good discussion or debate. There is no reason to constantly rant about how you dislike mx or Coldplay as a band now. The time for that was last November and it's over now.

So what I'm trying to say is that just because some people don't like some things that Coldplay does doesn't mean that they are not fans. We all have our different opinions. But, constant complaining that serves only as a rant rather than a discussion is pointless.
