So I'm filming a friend's sweet 16 and my friend who's in college for film told me my biggest priority should be a light for my camera. I also would like to use an external mic since most on-board mics suck.

 

If any of you guys could direct me to a good and cheap light as well as a Mic or something that's a combination of the two, I'd appreciate it :D

So are you going to be going for a shaky hand held blurry effect? If not, I'd get a tripod too.

True, I have a handle for left-handed people so I'll be fine. It also has a hot shoe so maybe i can by both the mic and the light.
