I have started three new threads today in honour of my favourite artists (however I did not realise there was a M.I.A. thread already - doh!).

You may not have heard of him as he died in the 70s, but Nick Drake was an exceptional artist. He was a brilliant poet and guitar player. Though sadly, he died aged only 26, and during most of his later years he was depressed.

His music was beautiful, and Northern Sky, one of his songs, is the peak of musical beauty.

Artists such as Kate Bush, Paul Weller, and Peter Buck have cited him as an influence.
