The Words of Shredder2

Featured Replies

Hello everybody! Being inspired over the years by my personal experiences and great musicians, like Coldplay, I began to write lyrics of my own, since I can't afford a guitar to practice on at the moment.

I actually got the idea of posting my lyrics from the conversation at this thread (courtesy of laxwatcher):

Please tell me what you think! :D and thanks! Just show the spoilers to read some.

"Banana Man"

Yeah... I wasn't really trying on this one. :P It was just some silly writing I did back when I was in class one day.

Banana man sittin' in an apple tree.

Hangin' his hands down like he's feeling free.

Why don't you come down and take a look at me?

You'll definitely like what you see.

Outdated and so overrated.

Your shirt's yellow and is faded.

Banana man, please come down.

You're about to make me frown.

"Voices"

I can hear them calling my name at night.

I'm scared of the tone in their voices.

I cringe, fearing for the worst.

They take their time prnouncing their syllables.

Are they under my bed?

Is it all in my head?

I search for the source.

It can't be found.

I search for the reason.

It can't be found.

Is it my grandfather?

Is it my great-grandmother?

Is it one of my friends?

If so, I'll be damned.

I struggle to catch the sleep I need.

A glass of water is what I need.

I'm too scared to leave my room.

The voices continue to loom.

Are they spectres? Are they dead?

Are the voices all in my head?

"You Were the One"

I try so hard to be with you.

I try so hard to keep you company.

Now it's such a shame because things aren't the same.

I really did thought you were the one to save me.

Open up your eyes, girl.

Welcome to the real world.

Don't run to me when it's your fault.

In their wounds, you like to pour salt.

There is no room for me to speak.

There is no room for two, only one.

Now it's such a shame because I play the waiting game.

I thought you were the one to end my wait.

I should've known this entire time.

In the end, the joke's on you.

Now let's see who's the next one to step in line.

More will come later! :D
