yeah...my parents were watching the lord of the rings and i went to shower. by the time i came out (which was about an hour later) they were still watching it

Long does not equal boring. It doesn't seem long while you're watching it. You get to know the characters and feel like you're on the journey with them. It's so great.

I know long isn't always boring I mean Avatar is like 3 hours, and that is awesome

The Lord of the Rings also has a great story. You can get so emotionally into it. Watching the "making of" you see how much effort was put into it. You fall inlove with the cast. It's absolutely unlike any other movie.
