Email notifications won't stop

Hey, I have a problem with email notifications when someone posts in a thread I'm subscribed to. The thing is that I deactivated the email notifications from my CP but I keep getting emails when someone posts in a thread. I'm subscribed to a lot of threads and I have 2,400 unread in my email inbox, it's really annoying :uhoh:

My question is, does it take some time for the emails to stop, or do I have a problem? I deactivated it about 24hs ago
