White Shadows album track with acoustic guitar and tutorial

Featured Replies

I'm trying to think of how many coldplay songs are done with the tuning of EADGBD#. Yellow, Shiver (they had one string different on that one), swallowed in the sea, white shadows...i think i'm forgetting a few. they got some good milliage out of those chords that sounds oh so nice with that tuning. Hard to believe white shadows and yellow are pretty much the same chords.

Thanks man. it's pretty straight forward. G#minor, then B major, the D# minor then C# minor all barre chordes with the bottom string open. there is an e major which in this tuning is an Emaj7, and...i think that's all there is. just different progressions with those chords. fun to play. borderline workout, and definitely a must to stand up. I think i was sitting down and just said to myself, screw it i gotta get up to play this one. I put some low end EQ to bring out that bass dance sound. Appreciate it man.

I uploaded a tutorial of the guitar for white shadows. I need to get some tabliture skills I just don't have them unfortunately. The basic chords are G#minor, B maj, D#minor, C#minor, Emaj7, played as barre chords with the D# (high E string) open.
