Skypala Posted April 23, 2014 Share Posted April 23, 2014 Take a moment to think about Magic and Midnight-- unlike Coldplay songs from previous albums (especially MX), neither of these songs have a distinct chorus, rather, they have groupings of words that are repeated in ways that are memorable and/or repetitive-- but there is no distinct chorus section. Another's arms is like this as well. What do you guys think of it? Have you noticed other variations in songwriting style in the GS songs that you find interesting? Share them here! Mrk Posted April 23, 2014 Share Posted April 23, 2014 Both MX and Viva had lots of chorus-less songs actually but yeah, it seems that the lyrics are more spontaneous and a bit less elaborate (not a bad thing at all).
