Lyrics Of "World Turned Upside Down"

Featured Replies

Around the third verse (the one after the first chorus) (like 2:34) there is a sentence Chris sings. In the official Coldplay lyrics section, that part is non-existent. (it is just not there) and in other lyrics sites , it is written as :

"Searching your mellow an outsings your key, ah."

Which doesn't make any sense, and I don't think it's correct.

I believe what he's singing is not English. Japanese or Chinese perhaps.

Any thoughts ?

Can you put the line in context of where it sits in with the entire lyrics by any chance? lol...Japanese or Chinese!...I like verily much [emoji120]

Sure, here's the song :

and here are the lyrics :

[Chorus]

What is this feeling that I can't explain?

And why am I never gonna sleep again?

What is this thing I've never seen before?

A little boy lost in a breaking storm

Pilots up and away they fly

To write your name in the summer sky

Life has really only just begun

Life that comes

And everything under the sun

[Verse 3]

X is Y

The land, sea, rivers, trees, the stars, the sky

365 degrees

All of the surface and the underneath

Searching your mellow and outsings your key, ah

And everything under the sun

And everything under the sun
