Innovation is hard to come by in the music industry, especially when it comes to concert tours.   Someone, usually the Rolling Stones or U2, has always done it before. Several aspects of Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" concert in Glendale, Ariz. Nov. 26 were quite familiar because the concert had a definite U2 feel to it. Sunday Mail photographer Mark Anderson scooped a top award for this shot of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin dozing on a ferry. The singer fell asleep on the sail from Arran to Ardrossan after attending his uncle Angus Fleming's funeral.   Mark, 26, won Celebrity Picture of the Year at the First Scotrail Press Photography Awards. A logical choice   During a recent Coldplay show in Boston, Chris Martin unexpectedly leaped off stage and sprinted an entire lap around a venue of 19,000 people. Chris Martin was a surprise performer in New York last night (13th September) as he joined hip-hop's two biggest stars - Jay-Z and Eminem - as they headlined Yankee Stadium in the borough, in a grand show of how hip-hop has grown from Bronx party music to stadium-filler.   Chris performed Most Kings, Viva La Vida and Heart of the City with Jay-Z. Chris Martin once again played without Coldplay in the US last night, this time at previously announced 2009 Bridge School Benefit in Mountain View, CA. Alongside, was Davide Rossi, the violinist influential during the Viva era.
