I said earlier that Fray’s “How to Save a Life” got snubbed and I do mean that. It really fits pop more than it does rock. I think that since Coldplay has already proclaimed themselves the best band ever, it’s safe to say there ego problems can’t afford to be exacerbated any more by non-deserving wins such as what this one would be. Other than that, my predictions can be explained here in preceding categories. Sorry for the repetition but blame the Grammys, not me. Performance by a Rock Grou

After teasing fans with a web-based tour announcement system, Coldplay's finally made its winter itinerary public. In an apparent bid to fuel egos, Coldplay announced an upcoming tour, but directed fans to its talkthetour.com site for routing. Once there, visitors learned that the site would need to rack up 33000 hits to reveal each tour date to support this year’s X&Y, aversion.com has reported. Thanks to a combination of obsessive fans and script-kiddies running neutered denial-of-serv

The postponed Tampa date has been and gone and rather than the usual reviews, setlists and pictures, there are instead more comments on Chris Martin's well-being and predictions about a possible rescheduled Ford Amphitheater date, which is looking increasingly unlikely to take place this week. Here is the fourth installment of Coldplayer comments that have flooded the messageboard (plus some more APW

Details are a bit sparse for now, but we’ve now heard whispers from multiple sources that Tapulous plans to release a version of their popular iPhone music game, Tap Tap Revenge, themed around Coldplay early next week. A legal battle over the sale of music label EMI can go to trial next month in New York, a judge ruled, in a case that may see some of London's top financiers take the stand. The case centres on allegations by Terra Firma, the private equity firm founded by Guy Hands, that it was misled by US bank Citigroup over its decision to buy EMI in the late spring of 2007. Embrace frontman Danny McNamara has hailed Chris Martin, the man who helped save the band’s career, as a genius. Speaking to nme.com, McNamara said if it wasn't for the success brought by the Martin penned 'Gravity', his band would have been dumped by their label and split up. "I think Chris Martin is a genius, but it's not easy for him," he said. "I speak to him every week, pretty much, and he sets impossibly high standards for himself and then somehow he manages to reach them. The thing of

Every music fan knows that a real rock show doesn't look anything like a concert movie. They never seem to include the guy sitting next to you who won't shut up, or the fact that the stars look like insects from the nosebleed seats, or that half the fun is just being there, hanging out with friends. As odd as it seems, the Beastie Boys [pictured] are the first band to ever take this to heart. The proof arrives this Friday with "Awesome! I F - - - in' Shot That," a concert movie that turns the

The Boxer Rebellion's new album is currently outselling the likes of Kings Of Leon, MGMT and Coldplay on the US version of iTunes, even though it is a self-release. Despite the success, 'Union' has been barred from entering the Official UK Charts this Sunday (January 18) - because the band have only released the album digitally. The band, who were signed to Alan McGee's Poptones label but currently have no record deal, self-released 'Union' on January 11. Unexpectedly, the album, and its lead
