What are you wearing today?   A Richard Nicholl shirt dress. He's a great new designer that we are championing in the shop. At the moment, due to my bump, it's not quite long enough to wear as a dress, hence these M&S city shorts underneath. I bought them before pregnancy but they still just about fit if I don't fasten the top button. My belt is by Camilla Staerk and my locket necklace is by Bing Bang. These Rupert Sanderson court shoes are my pièce de la resistance.   Heels and pregnancy, h

The Coldplay quartet are rounding out 2001 with a handful of U.S. dates, some of which were postponed following the September 11th terrorist attacks.   The tour kicks off on Wednesday 28th November in Providence, R.I., where the band will perform as part of WBRU-FM's 32nd Birthday Bash with Remy Zero and Delta Clutch.   On Saturday 1st December in Fairfax, Va., Coldplay joins Blink-182, the Crystal Method, System of a Down, Pete Yorn, Nickelback and Puddle of Mudd for WHFS-FM's HFSmas Holiday Nu

Thanks to Coldplaying.com messageboarders around the world we are beginning to piece together Coldplay's tour dates for 2008 - starting in Europe - Barcelona (Spain) and Arnhem (Netherlands) of all places.   Several sites have begun selling Coldplay tickets for European tour dates later on this year. There are almost certainly more dates to leak before they become officially confirmed, inevitably including those by ticket outlets for US gigs. At the moment European tickets are going for €110,- (

Flamboyant, catsuit-wearing frontman/guitarist Justin Hawkins of The Darkness has a simple explanation of music these days:   "There aren't a lot of good English bands, I don't think," he said, following the pronouncement with an appropriately placed yawn. "Coldplay's successful and they're good, too. Radiohead is successful and they're good. But Robbie Williams is shit. He hasn't been so successful. It's just the nature of the beast. Quality will shine through no matter what the country."   Sou

The Fray have revealed that Coldplay inspire them to "do better" as a band. The Colorado four-piece, who scored a top five hit with 'How To Save A Life' in 2006, were blown away by the English band's Viva La Vida album.   "Viva La Vida is amazing! Some of the sounds on that record are just incredible and that's what I find inspiring," drummer Ben Wysocki told DigitalSpy. "They're not just turning out melodies that you can sing to in the shower, they're progressing into different sonic landscapes

Before the dawn - February. 2nd part to the 12 months of 2014 review series (View January here).   February dawned upon us and Coldplay's sixth album seemed closer, yet so far away. A new Coldplay song, Magic was listed as a single, for release in May of the same year in the UK chart release schedule, which in turn brought hype and speculation to what Magic may sound like. It was a very quiet time during the first half of the month on the Coldplay front. The calm before the dawn!   Comeba

It’s been a heck of a year for English rock band Coldplay. First, lead singer Chris Martin and wife Gwyneth Paltrow had a baby boy, Moses, in early April.   Not to be outdone, drummer Will Champion and his wife Marianne welcomed a daughter named Ava about a week later.   And, now, according to ContactMusic, bass player Guy Berryman and his wife Joanna Briston show that they’re supporting the band’s efforts at procreation as well, with the arrival of their daughter Nico earlier this week.Whoa! Reports X17:   For someone with a reputation for penning such easy-going songs, Coldplay's Chris Martin certainly has a sharp tongue!   Much to the British balladeer's frustration, we spotted Martin leaving with his wife Gwyneth Paltrow after a nice lunch at Ivy On The Shore, with the couple getting in their car separately to prevent the paps from catching them together.   As you'll see in the video, Chris certainly wasn't too happy to see us - sorry Chris, we never meant to cause you trouble! July 2005 became a landmark in music history when eight simultaneous concerts were hosted around the world on one day - July 2 - across U.K, France, Germany, Italy, U.S.A, Canada, Japan and South Africa. And then there was one humongous concert on July 6. The idea was to promote one goal - Make Poverty History. The biggest musical campaign in recent times was responded by the G8 in the form of a meeting on July 5, 2005, which promised the world that the aid for eradication of poverty in Africa w

Lloyd Grove's Lowdown: A Public show of glitterati, onstage & off grove Ah, the roar of the greasepaint, the smell of the crowd!   The crowd celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Public Theater Monday night smelled like showbiz aristocracy. Performing or sitting in the A-list audience at the City Center were Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Tony Kushner, Elaine Stritch, Eartha Kitt, Mike Nichols, Ben Stiller and Sam Rockwell — who sat with his date in the 16th row, right beside Lowdow

“How long before I get in? Before it starts, before I begin? How long before you decide, Before I know what it feels like?”   The first verse of Coldplay’s Speed of Sound. It is one of the songs that James Haskell plays on his iPod before matches to bring him to the correct preparatory pitch. “You choose tracks not so much for the words but for the impact, the emotion they bring out and the feelings of confidence,” he says. He might not have chosen it for the words, but “How long before I get i

The Coldplay puppets that starred in the new video for Life In Technicolor have yet again appeared in various locations in Auckland this week thanks to coldplay.com - including Long Bay Beach and Mt Eden. It's surprising they're still in one piece...   Roadie #42 recently blogged about the puppets, saying: "The 'out and about' shots of the puppets are all the work of Dan P, the band's personal trainer. As with most creative endeavours, it becomes a good deal more involved than first anticipated.

The Coldplay puppets that starred in the video for Life In Technicolor earlier in the year have defied the odds and yet again appeared in various locations in London this last couple of weeks thanks to coldplay.com - including Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and behind the scenes at Wembley stadium.   Unfortunately they were only a full week late to the Coldplayer meet-up at the Trafalgar Square before the Wembley shows. What's more surprising than not turning up is th

The Coldplay puppets that starred in the new video for Life In Technicolor have yet again appeared in various locations in the US this last couple of weeks thanks to coldplay.com - including Miami Beach, Atlanta, New York and New York's Central Park. It's surprising they're still in one piece... in fact its fair to say they're looking a bit scuffed. Chris resembles someone just pulled out of a refuse van and Will and Jonny look like they've been hand-digging in the garden.   Roadie #42 recently
