Coldplay’s White Shadows will be played on the radio, but there is no official release for the track. I don’t think countries other than Australia will be able to play it seeing as how it will ‘only be in Australia’, indicating that it isn’t a worldwide release. That’s how I’ve percieved it and if I’m wrong, I’m sure someone will tell me. Yeah it is a little confusing to why but that’s just how it is… It was announced through a question and answer section at Coldplay.com that “White Shadows” w

Coldplay make it into several other bands' articles this week. You can read an article here that describes the Datsuns as "a welcome antidote to the bedwetter melodrama of Coldplay et al." Meanwhile, guess who's described as being anti-Coldplay? You can find out here.

It could be a happy holiday season for Coldplay fans if what Chris Martin says is true - Coldplay hopes to have a new record out by December. However according to a BBC 6 Music News twitter source (BBC6 music of all places) - and it is the ONLY source so far - EMI have quashed the idea that Coldplay will be releasing any new material under their label in the next 9 months at least. No official word has been released by EMI, and no other sources to suggest that BBC6 Music are correct. It's not ev

We've had a good response to our latest poll - almost 1000 votes have been cast in just a couple of weeks. We asked you to decide who or what will have the biggest influence on Coldplay's fifth album. You can add to the vote here or in the polling box to the left of the page. You can comment on the poll at the Coldplay forum, and we will synch the frontpage/forum poll results later in the month. It appears that early indications suggest that the solar system project mentioned in a recent Roadi

The BBC has been testing a new service called SoundIndex, which lists the top 1,000 artists based on discussions crawled from Bebo, Las.fm, Google Groups,iTunes, MySpace and YouTube. The top five bands according to SoundIndex right now are Coldplay, Rihanna, The Ting Tings, Duffy and Mariah Carey , but the index is refreshed every six hours. This is somewhat similar to Songkick's "Battle Of The Bands," which we covered in March. Songkick uses different data - MySpace, Amazon and blogs - to de

Hi My name is Paola Avaria, and I live in Valparaíso, Chile. Today Mr. Chris Martin visited the museum where I worked. I was a big fan of Coldplay, until today. I was so trill that Mr. Martin was going to visit the place I work, I wanted to go to Santiago to attend the show this week, but I don´t have a car, so I can`t go. It was too far for me to attend the recital of the band. So when I knew he was going to visit the museum, I was so happy...but Mr. Martin was very rude to me. I said hi, a

As Coldplay embark on the next stage of their march towards global domination, Neil McCormick argues that they represent the latest in a long tradition of British groups who, when it comes to stadium rock, have got the Americans licked It was announced this week that Coldplay are to take the coveted Saturday night headline spot at this year's Glastonbury festival on June 25, the scene of their widely acknowledged crowd-swaying triumph in 2000. Earlier the same month, on June 6, Coldplay will r

Ever since Prospekt announced the last LP4 update over two weeks ago, Coldplay fans have been wondering why Maine, Portland has been on the map. Well Coldplaying.com can reveal that one possible (and very feasible) solution is a visit to the award winning mastering company, Gateway Mastering & DVD, based in the city. The company's two resident sound engineers, Bob Ludwig and Adam Ayan are specialists in their field and have won Grammys. Adam Ayan won 2 Latin Grammy Awards at the 8th Annual

Here are more answered questions from The Oracle... August 29, 2008 - submitted by Simon, Netherlands Q. Why did Coldplay wrote an Ode to Deodorant? The Oracle replies: Your question seems imply that you think Ode to Deodorant was a joke. I know that the lyrics do seem a little whimsical but I can assure you it was a serious composition. It would be like asking why Coldplay wrote Yellow? They just did. August 29, 2008 - submitted by CJ, South Africa Q. Just wondered if someone knew the hidd

Richard Ashcroft arrived by helicopter for his terrific set after enjoying the British Grand Prix. His dramatic entry surprised the crowd but not Richard - who had a premonition of his jet-set day while sharing a steam room with Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman. Ditch the aviator shades and backwards baseball cap, Chris Martin - they're not cool and they're not clever. The Coldplay frontman and wife Gwyneth Paltrow went on stage to watch Ashcroft and Lou Reed. Foul-mouthed stars nearly had the

Chris Martin and actress wife Gwyneth Paltrow may attract all the media attention over their children Apple and Moses, but he's not the only member of the band who's a proud dad.
