We've had a good response to our latest poll - and the results so far could not be tighter. We asked you whether you would prefer the 'Life In Technicolor ii' video to feature the band as puppets or people... and the results after nearly 700 votes so far are split - see below - by only 10 votes.   You can add to the vote here. The results so far are as follows:

As previously reported, Coldplay have revealed the first details of their new album including a number of songs up for consideration for the final track listing.   Writing on their official blog the band announced that they had just returned to the studio after a month off. They wrote: “The plan has always been to make a short record. No more than 42 minutes. 9 songs (give or take).”   The songs which might make it to the final cut include ‘Lost!’, ‘Cemeteries Of London’, ‘Violet Hill’. ‘Poppy

The show isn't until tonight, but the big news from Coldplaying.com so far is that Cemeteries Of London has been soundchecked by Coldplay in Strasbourg today, and there is a great possibility they may play it live tonight. The track from the new album Death And All His Friends has never been played live... yet.   Chris Martin has described it as their "ghost march" and he is clearly trying to tackle the big questions as he sings about a supernatural and religious quest. This, along with a few ot

If anyone needed extra proof that Coldplay are one of the biggest bands in the world, then this eagerly anticipated South American tour would surely quash any dissent in the ranks.   Chris Martin and co have managed to create a global phenomenon from some easy listening and gripping pop songs. Debut album Parachutes landed them a Brit Award and the status of an up and coming British band.   However, it was second album Rush of Blood to the Head that jettisoned them into superstardom; third album

The Arctic Monkeys stole the show at the Q Awards today - toppling Oasis from their throne.   The Sheffield scallies scooped two of the most prestigious gongs at the biggest rock and roll event of the year - for Best Album and the People's Choice Award.   Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, sold over 360,000 copies in its first week this year, making it the fastest selling debut album in the UK since records began. Oasis did the double in the same categories last year - despite prote

The Q Magazine that we reported about earlier is now on the shelves and contains some more information on the new album that we didn't already know. The new release date is likely to be May/June 2008. For those of you unable to buy it, we have picked a few bits out;   Another thing that helped them out of the rut was hypnosis, with the band's new found adventurousness extending to writing music while in an altered state. Some might conclude they've misplaced their marbles, but Martin seems uncon

They've taken over Oasis' mantle as Britain's biggest band. Approaching their 10th Anniversary, Tim Jones charts the rise and rise of Coldplay, with a complete discography compiled by Sal Mohammed   Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin, has become part of a celebrated movie/rock star couple with his other half, Gwyneth Paltrow. Not bad for the leader of a band that few had heard of before the millennium, and who Alan McGee once panned as 'bed-wetters'. In reality, Coldplay - more than any other B
