  4. By the way, live at the festival the mix was just great (which is the most important thing IMO). Someone recorded much of their Glastonbury set in 4K. Guitar's great in the mix, nothing to complain. video starts at 31:58 (feelslikeimfallinginlove) https://youtu.be/pFrBR1C7fs4?t=1918
  5. Wanted to share this a few days ago. Jonny's guitar wasn't in the mix at all (at certain points in the show) in the livestream, such as feelslikeimfallinginlove. But the BBC channel uploaded a remastered version to YouTube and Jonny is perfect in the mix (thank goodness)! Listen to the livestream version (most of us have downloaded) and compare it to this (remastered) version from BBC's YouTube channel! This is what it should have sounded like. Anyway, here's Jonny PERFECTLY MIXED in feelslikeimfallinginlove (Glastonbury 2024) uploaded by BBC: the video starts at 2:30 https://youtu.be/sOrUobwKOV8?t=149 Sorry for saying this but, whoever was responsible for the livestream sound mix didn't do a great job unfortunately. Of course mistakes can happen which is totally fine, but this was during most of the show and it was not okay (saying this as a guitarist myself)! Jonny's contribution was missed in many songs, due to the poor mix in the livestream.
  6. Hypnotised vs Atlas
  7. Cemeteries Of London vs Hypnotised
  8. Cemeteries Of London vs All I Can Think About Is You
  9. Only because of Jonny's appearance Violet Hill (Live @ Glastonbury 2024) vs Sparks (Live @ Glastonbury 2024)
  10. That's tough Swallowed In The Sea vs Moving To Mars
  11. Violet Hill vs Don't Panic
  12. I know right, I admit that I'm not always the biggest fan of their newer stuff, I adore the VIVA-era stuff etc., sometimes I prefer to listen to older stuff, sometimes I prefer to listen to newer stuff. From time to time it changes a lot, but I respect every single thing they do and have done. No matter what, Coldplay will forever be the greatest band of all time for me. Nothing is just as we would like it to be, so we'll just have to respect the fact that their decisions are to make more pop-based music these days (respect and let it be, which is the most important thing if you're still a fan IMO) and let them do whatever they want to do, now they are simply (one of) the biggest stadium act(s). Throughout their long career they have evolved themselves to what they have become now as a band. That's what makes them grand. The most important thing (at least to me) is that this band is still going after all those years. Their sincere friendship is what makes them stronger than ever.
  13. You missed Yellow too, it was the opening song to their set!
  14. Ahaha! That wasn't meant sarcastically, I hadn't expected the quality to be as good as it was for a global livestream
  15. Everybody can say whatever they want but Feelslikeimfallinginlove live is a strong ending IMO.
  16. It's a great quality livestream!
  17. Well.... I guess Lovers In Japan / Reign Of Love vs Warning Sign
  18. Tough one Lovers In Japan (Osaka Sun Mix) vs Birds
  19. The big day has arrived! Looking back at the announcements, 3 months went fast....
  20. Folks, try to keep up with the latest post GPASUYF (Live 2012) vs Cemeteries Of London
  21. I'd love to hear Orphans plus.......... Lovers In Japan! Hoping for a miracle Looking forward to: Arabesque (which is pretty much confirmed), AOAL and ETIAW (which they will undoubtedly perform)
  22. He finds it too important apparently what people want to do at a concert... Singing along. So let's just add a "alalaloleeelooo"! So that everyone can sing along even if you're not a fan. But hasnt Chris done that already for many times? Perhaps it's about time to surprise and please (most of) the fans, like they did with Everyday Life. For us Coldplay fans, it's not always what we want unfortunately. All we want (I think) is more interesting and creative songs from them that show in what they are good at! Let's hope Moon Music is a lot more interesting and less mainstream and has a few of those gems.
  23. To not forget Jonny's E-Bow guitar, which is very interesting, love it! It's amazing Jon finally uses it since the last time they played Coloratura
  24. I agree on the weak bridge thing. The first listens I was like, really? Not even a change in chords or guitar riffs from our Jonny? It felt empty. It's such a shame that there isn't something extra's in the bridge. It just feels like they had to fill in the time and Chris decided it's fun to put some "ooooooh ohoh ooohs" in. Very creative... There's nothing wrong with those "ooohooooohs", he does it for decades and I like it. But at a certain point you'd like to hear something new, which finally happens in the last chorus when Jonny kicks with his great riff imo (reminded me of X&Y era immediately) and Will's drum later, Guy's bass lines finish it as a whole. Now it starts to have more Coldplay feel and them playing a song together imo. Anyway, I hope the reason they left variation out is because it's the lead single, in order to keep it (too) simple and easy for people to listen to these days. I'm glad it isn't a HFTW 2.0 or a SJLT 2.0!
