Seeing as this album will be influenced by other cultures such as India, while also maintaining a colourful and somewhat conceptual album artwork, I'd say this album will be a mixture of Viva la Vida and Mylo Xyloto. Which in my opinion, would be amazing.

I'd be so happy if they decided to release a bunch of b-sides like XY,AROBTTH, and Parachutes for this album. They are usually unknown masterpieces. It also means more amazing music to vibe too, because its Coldplay of course.

I really doubt it will take that long, I'm pretty sure record labels have had these dates set up from quite some time so everyone wins.

Why does everything have to be so planned and secretive? Just release it CP, we've waited long enough. If not, at least give us some info! Is that really such a bad thing to do? It's maddening.

My anticipation for the new CP single/album/cover has been so huge that I'm afraid I've come to expect too much out of their new material and will end up disappointed as it has been the case for many other projects I've highly anticipated. Really hope that is not the case this time. Drop it now Coldplay!

True, but what we have forgotten is about the quality of the music. We sill haven't heard the whole thing from neither artist and until then, we can only speculate. It could go either way, so the deciding factor should be who produces the best overall album that captures the more casual set of people. Personally, I think Coldplay has more variety in it's sound overall and could pull out another number 1. But maybe I'm just being biased :D

Please, someone tell me I'm not the only one who thinks Coldplay would beat Adele in the charts either way?
