  1. I would love to have whichever you're willing to give :)
  2. Not a fan of them putting that song on the EP, but it makes sense on a business point of view as it is obviously a song many people seem to like. So all in all, at least we can just skip it if we don't wanna listen it lol. Overall I am really pleased with this EP as it's a bonus they didn't really had to make and some tracks are simply great. Come to think of it, they have already made so many classic songs; and as someone who truly appreciates they're older songs, I'm just glad they seem to still have the motivation to take their talents to new heights. Who knows what they'll be producing some years from now. As a fan though, I do wish they would make a purely acoustic album of all their classics (and some forgotten ones like.. I ran away :P), I'm sure many would appreciate that.
  3. Well here goes my order for now: 1. All I can think about is you 2. A L I E N S 3. Hypnotised 4. Miracles (Someone special) 5. SJLT :p
  4. After listening to A L I E N S like about a hundred times, I must say I put it up there with All I can think about is you in terms of overall satisfaction I got from just listening to it. Although they are completely different and vary in musical approach, both are undeniably great and will make this EP one to remember fondly for sure. At first I had no idea what to expect from A L I E N S but had this vague feeling it would not disappoint. However, I would have never thought it would sound the way it does and that is what makes me love Coldplay, because it doesn't matter if their songs doesn't sound a certain way; at the end of it all, they always have that Coldplay feel we are all so moved by. I know this song may have been inspired by earlier years, but they have released it now because it was meant to be now. Nevertheless, it doesn't mean they will take this musical approach for their future projects, as it has become clear they still like meddling with pop songs (Miracles with BS, which is pretty good to be fair), but it certainly proves they still know how to please their real longtime fans. Anyways... so happy they dropped Aliens haha

  15. I didn't quite enjoy AHFOD because of it's overall overproduced sound in comparison to other albums, and it has almost seemed like it has been CP's musical direction lately so I have had already made up my mind that this EP would have not been much different. Having said that, I gotta say that AICTAIY is a beautiful song and every detail in it sounds like it has been purposely added to it. Some may say it sounds too muddled or blurry, but I think the whole point about this song is for it to sound that way, and they have nailed it. In comparison to other recent songs, this one seems to encompass each one of their era's in a way that pleases most of old and new players alike without having to discuss whether it sounds old or new. This is a Coldplay song and it has the Coldplay sound. The song, the music, the ambient noises, all of it has CP signature all over it. I love it.
  16. I was actually kind of surprised how well-produced this song felt on my ears, almost live-like. To me, this song is an instant classic, unlike Hypnotised which grows with time.
  17. Figured I'd drop my personal top ten because I'm taking way too long choosing one (not a good order tho): 10. Strawberry Swing 9. Spies 8. Crest of Waves 7. Death and all his friends 6. Swallowed in the sea 5. Moses 4. Don't panic 3. Life in Technicolor (i,ii & escapist) 2. I ran away 1. Amsterdam honorable mentions: Moving to Mars, FOP, Things I don't understand, Gravity, Speed of Sound, AROBTTH, Green Eyes... agh I can"t
  18. Could not have agreed with this more
  19. I want to listen to it again! AHFOD, Birds, Amazing Day, and Up&Up are the best songs in the album so far in my opinion. But I also feel like this album is a grower and in time I will get to love it even more. Nevertheless, today sure felt like Christmas!
  20. https://soundcloud.com/jewsbelikewhat/a-head-full-of-dreams-coldplay-leak It's leaked!!
  21. 0 expectations for Fun. Hope I'm wrong.
  22. Loving the first two tracks so far, but HFTW... damn. It just feels like any other song out there on the radio and I just can't sense that Coldplay feel in it. I just feel like I'm gonna have a hard time connecting with this song in an emotional level. What worries me most though, is the fact that they might replace one of their old amazing classics on their live tours for this song since I saw it being advertised on the front of an album cover, along with AOL.
