I think now that the hype is certainly over we can give a proper opinion for the album. What songs changed your opinion about it? What songs you start to like or dislike? How is your Coldplay LP ranking now? The reason I started the topic with this title is because I think AHFOD is a pretty good album for this current radio friendly Coldplay. Not just pretty good, I think is their best LP since Viva. This doenst mean that I think the album is flawless or one of their best efforts, bla bla bla. I have been a massive Coldplay fan for as long as I have been alive. That said, their 2015 release is my least favorite, in fact, I kind of hate the album. I don't dislike the songwriting, I really hate the wall of sound production seen throughout the entire thing. So, for the last year, I've been using all available resources, being the instrumentals, stems, and 5.1 mixes to strip back the mix as much as possible, and I think I've gotten it. Now, you may not be aware, but a couple of years back I decided to try and remake AHFOD (the album) and, to be honest, looking at the (sort of draft) result, I wasn't satisfied. I didn't dedicate myself to that project, had many issues with some of the tracks (some of which weren't even mine to begin with, they were done by other people), and overall, it was probably one of the most half-baked things I've ever done. Alrighty. I was bored one day and decided to try to isolate Chris' vocals from the Sao Paulo DVD. I ripped the surround master and try to fix it a bit. it generally sounded okay but it will never be perfect since its technically impossible without the actual master mix. So during some of the snippets your gonna hear the other instruments. Also on a side note, you finally get to hear Will's backing vocals on Fix You. Albeit autotuned but nonetheless his vocals. I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this in, but at the Kansas City concert last night Chris announced that they were currently in the process of recording a live album that they plan to release in November. He mentioned it because he told us they wanted to use the KC version of Us Against the World on it :p Anyway--has there been any news of this yet? Am I late to the party or is this as much news to the rest of you as it was to me?
