Coldplay's Next Single - Talk - 7" vinyl
i doubt they'd do anything else to it. they're not in the studio anymore. also you didnt get my point. im not saying the song sounds bad or isnt even more interesting than the official one. i just think that its a waste of a b-side to A)release something that almost everyone who is obsessed enough to buy the single has already heard and B) resort to other versions of a song (mastered or not).

Coldplay's Next Single - Talk - 7" vinyl
if thats true i'll be upset. an unfinished version of a single is not a b-side. its just a song's unfinished version that got leaked. and happened to be better. also, coldplay need to severly step up their b-side game for the X&Y sessions. a live version of a pour me????? but! but! they recorded an entire album before they got to the real X&Y! apparently those early days WERE pretty dire if crap like The World Turned is officially floating around.

Clue to Original X&Y Tracklisting
did anyone take note of the hint embedded in the light show at this summer's tour? The song swallowed in the sea had a bunch of swirling lyrics written out in Chris's hand-writing and was illuminated all over the stage etc. anyways i made out part of one that read like a tracklist and had Things that I dont Understand as track 1. i couldnt make out the others but i assume i saw fix you and what if. i get obsessive about songs i havent heard. prolly why X&Y is such a let down.

What does everyone think of the Fix You b sides?
absolutly.

What does everyone think of the Fix You b sides?
are you kidding?? every aspect of this song is a rip off of them-selves. the only thing "different to the usual Coldplay" is that the song sucks.

What does everyone think of the Fix You b sides?
THEY SUCK. poor me has no right being included without a revamping. the screams at the end are wincingly bad. The World Turned starts out pretty cool but the beat is lame and the chorus is forgettable if not incredibly dissapointing. the song is coldplay at their worst: tired lyrical themes and dried up musical ideas. the Fix You pair will go down as the worst coldplay b-sides ever. lamer still, quality this low on single 2 means A) crappy future X&Y b-sides, B) X&Y session show a trend towards their worst songs to date. Coldplay still have good songs left in em, absolutly. but beware of inceasing amounts of bad apples on future albums.

CHANGE OF CONTENTS FOR THE NEXT ALBUM
"Deep" stuff is great, but Coldplay is Coldplay. If Chris tries to write "deeper" lyrics then it'll seem forced and contrived. The songs he writes just come out, and it's something you can really tell in thier music. ... im not sure your giving due credit to the man. its pretty clear Chris Martin does work rediculously hard on every aspect of the album, including the lyrics. coldplay lyrics are highly under-rated. he grasps and articulates what the human soul wants and needs (We Never Change) and puts into perspective the miracle that we exist at all (Speed of Sound). He gets a lot of scrutiny because the band is so succesful but lets not gloss over his lyrics too quickly, his words are heftier than they appear.

Careful Where You Stand
why bump old yeller? Parachutes needs that moment of testostrine. However- Careful Where You Stand is simly the BEST song. i think they were crazy not to include it on the album but its is easy to play devil's advocate and say Parachutes doesnt need another slow and quiet number. theres also something charming about finding jewels in b-sides. maybe its sweeter because its protected from the toothless masses. careful where you stand and see you soon.... i miss those days. i wish coldplay would stop trying to write songs bigger than their hype.

did a pre-album studio leak like "Talk" ever happe
