Yes Coldplay and U2 are similar in style. However, in the end most music is built around the piano. And U2's around the guitar. Major difference, even though guitar figures into Coldplay's music largely as well.

In My Place was whiny tripe Speed of Sound too bland when you had White Shadows, Talk and other good and exciting songs that should have been released or released in a different order. Yellow or Shiver it's hard to compare really. Both are good songs though. In the end I'd say Violet Hill is either their 1st or 2nd strongest single.

I don't know. I don't like it. The actual music sounds very cheesy, low budget (and not in the good way the other b-sides do) and too busy. Violet Hill was a million and half times better.

Are there songs heavier than Violet Hill? Or more rocking songs than Violet Hill, I should say?

Love the new single. God forbid they rock out a little, instead of giving us tinkly piano ballad #56. Or release whiny tripe like In My Place (A stain on an otherwise brilliant record).

We've probably got about 50 or so soft, subtle Coldplay. Frankly, I've had quite enough and I can't imagine wanting more. They need to rock a little more, like their doing with this track. I don't want to look back and see Coldplay as a wussy band, because they don't have the muscular rock songs that even bands like U2 have put out (The Fly, Until the End of the World, I Will Follow, etc. Their getting there will stuff like Politik, Square One, ect, but they'd do well to continue with the trend a la Violet Hill.

So I bought Gravity from woolworths.com and now I can't play it because it says my liscence is tied to another computer, which it isn't. I checked previous threads and the links seem to be all down for Gravity. could someone reup it or PM with a copy without the DRM protection. Thanks
