  1. Yes I too disliked the inability to choose your seat (with the randomiser element once you chose an area and price tier)
  2. Bloody hell, managed to snag West Stand tickets for three of us at quite an acute angle to the stage (80 degrees at least) but the prices for south stand lower or pitch standing were insane. I have reluctantly decided that this will be my final time seeing the band, had a decent run over 19 years from Earl’s Court in 2003 to Hampden in 2022 I will have seen the band 7 times and had I not had the flu it would have been 8 (missed a gig I had a ticket for in 2008) so let’s hope the show is fun and somehow improves on the fantastic spectacle that was Hampden in 2016 and Milan in 2017. Presale worked very well I thought and hopefully not too many are disappointed and fail to secure tickets
  3. Email received which stated codes would be sent out around / after 12pm tomorrow - what is more frustrating is not knowing the prices for Wembley and Hampden (well Hampden for me) as I will need to ask my Dad for a loan but need to know how much to ask him for!
  4. Does anyone know when the codes will be emailed out ahead of Thursday’s presale? Had my Shepherd’s Bush code but have not seen one for the UK tour dates at Wembley and Hampden yet…
  5. When will we be able to use our 1st access codes to the London and Glasgow shows?
  6. Blimey, what an absolute low point in the band’s canon. This is absolute garbage and the first time I can confidently state that it will be in a class of one, namely Coldplay songs that I will only listen to once and never again. Not a single other track they have released have I done that for and I even tried to give I Bloom Blaum a decent chance… What really surprises me is that when Chris brought this to the rest of the boys + Phil they didn’t all veto it as it even worthy of continuing past a demo. The hook is crap, the verses are crap, the production is crap. It actually sounds like Chris Martin guesting on someone else’s song and absolutely not a Coldplay song. Worried that this album is going to be very patchy and a poor follow up to Everyday Life which was amazing.
  7. I agree it is definitely playback of the studio version in that clip but I rationalised that as they wanted to protect/“hold back” the actual audio to keep it for whenever this Roundhouse concert film is going to premiere (eg Oct 15)?
  8. They are clearly going to launch the album the same way they did Ghost Stories with a full album performance from The Roundhouse filmed by Paul Dugdale who also did the Live from Jordan and Worthy Farm performances. Probably will be on Amazon Prime or Sky 1 on album release day.
  9. I am really in awe that they have released these isolated tracks - usually very private and behind the scenes, hearing Jonny’s solo isolated is a thing of beauty as were the other three parts too. I am so excited for this album!!!!
  10. I hope not as I am going to the 2nd Milan show and I desperately want to hear AICTAIY live. However I fear that they are going to (inexplicably) wait til the EP drops and the Euro leg of the tour (except Paris) are going to miss out. Do you think it is because they don't know which of the A stage songs to take out? I personally would lose Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall and Charlie Brown to make way...
  11. Hi everyone, first post on the forum! Does anyone think it is a bit strange (borderline criminal) at the neglect being shown towards VLVODAAHF on this tour. I mean it is widely regarded to be their 2nd best album (after AROBTTH), yet it significantly under represented compared to other albums. I was at Hampden - easily the 2nd best show for me (Crystal Palace '05 still my favourite, they were electric that night and I was close to the stage) - and the distribution was AHFOD - 7 (9 if including Kaleidoscope and Colour Spectrum) GS - 3 (Magic, Ink, A Sky Full Of Stars - can't really count 30 seconds of Midnight) MX - 3 (Paradise, Charlie Brown, Every Teardrop Is A Warterfall) VLVODAHHF - 1 (Viva La Vida) X&Y - 2 (Fix You, The Hardest Part) AROBTTH - 3 (In My Place, The Scientist, Clocks) P - 1 (Yellow) So it would be fascinating to know why the band hate this era so much. I so would have loved to hear Lovers In Japan (the arrangement at the Etihad - thanks YouTube! - was tremendous) or Strawberry Swing or my joint-favourite-with-Amsterdam, Death And All His Friends... Thoughts, anyone?
