  1. this is a VERY accurate ^ I also think coldplay really had something going with their earlier recordings that were more raw and "simple" in nature. For those of us out there that love everything they make including their b-sides, I think we'd all like to hear everything the band has to offer. Lately I think chris is becoming much like howard hughes, and is starting to develope a "perfection" complex on his music. Perfection isn't what makes great music, sometimes the character and flaws of a song is much more meaningful. I guess they have had like 200+ hours of songs that have been cut to make this record...I'd be interested to hear the missing hours, and I'd bet they'd be just as good as anything else they've put out on this upcoming release. Just think how much great music is out there from this band that will never be heard...it's such a shame- BTW the "old" talk is much better than the new one...I wish they wouldn't have second guessed themselves on this one...
  2. The video wasn't bad, but seriously, for a band with the backing of coldplay and the money probably spent on this video, it's a little bit un-original in my opinion. We've all seen cool lights on tv before (anyone remember the clocks video??), where's the backwards play/semi-cartoon/artistic type values we come to expect. I think this video was rushed, and super low budget...probably has something to do with EMI's money problems.
  3. I would also like to get that email with the two new songs if someone has time, thanks! [email protected]
  4. same here, but there were already 46+ auctions on ebay before the tickets even went on sale, I have a feeling there were very few even available at all. I haven't heard anyone who got them off of ticketmaster yet...even the Toronto show had some success stories by now.
  5. http://www.ticketbroker.com/final/ticketsearch.asp?client=1480&id=0&next=byevent.cfm&restart=yes&e=1524&frame=1&static=1 This is one of the many websites listing this concert....beware, I wouldn't buy from this site, I don't know of anyone who has and it seems a little sketch because of the tickets it already has on sale. I just look at these sites because they tend to have the hot info as soon as it is avail...so I guess Boston it is for the final North American buzz gig....
  6. yeah some of these people on ebay had some kind of inside advantage to be selling before the tickets went on sale. I feel really bad for those who live in or near Toronto, I was going to drive to see the show from the states if I got tickets. So I guess I'll just wait for the next buzz gig, I think they need to annouce a couple of them at a time so there isn't so much demand and hype for one event to give the real fans who don't want to pay $500 a ticket a fighting chance...
  7. For all of those saying how much SOS sounds like clocks and other coldplay songs please take a step back and realize that you're saying this new coldplay song sounds exactly like a COLDPLAY song....OF COURSE IT DOES!!! We should all be thankful that this great band can preserve their sound from record to record and never let us down...this is a very rare thing in music today.
  8. First...NOT AT ALL like clocks, anyone who says that is making a poor judgement, Second, it's a great song just like anything coldplay has ever put out. Lastly, Chris was quoted as saying "this is the best bridge track between X&Y and the last album" so don't start doubting them just yet I would say...plus I think most would agree "In My Place" isn't the stand out track on AROBTH...so why should we expect that from SOS on X&Y?? I know I don't....
  9. you gotta be more specific than that....coldplay.com? capitolrecords.com? and then where is it located??
