You seriously haven't been a noob for a long time. :D 1000 was a massive milestone for me... I thought I was never going to reach 2000. Of course it also took me two and a half years because I post slow...

Albums of the Year: 2007 - The Countdown
20 down, 25 to go. :dizzy: I think I'll call it a night. All the little numbers are starting to get to my head. Not complaining, just commenting. Will probably start counting down the lower albums Tuesday evening or Wednesday afternoon. edit: forget that. This is taking forever, and stuff keeps coming up. If not weekendish, after Christmas.

What are you listening to?
Um, she's my favorite female singer (and harpist)... she started out doing traditional celtic music, but moved on to a unique sort of eclectic world music. Very nuanced, visual, breathtakingly rich stuff. I guess you sort of have to hear a lot of it to get it. http://www.quinlanroad.com/

Jeans and a t-shirt for me usually. Though I hate dress pants- I'd rather wear a skirt or dress- they never look right on me. Actually, I really like some of the wrap dresses that have been around lately. I'll wear those for fun in the summer. Guess it means I'm growing up. :\ Wouldn't have dreamed of it when I was younger. Now, if people didn't treat you like a freak when you dress up like a crazy person all out of time, I would spend my life in floor-length flowy medieval dresses. Seriously the most comfortable, most flattering type of clothing I've ever worn. I love it. :nice: Uh... I do.

A question about fashion/General fashion stuff
Me? I'm a tomboy trapped in an hourglass figure. I guess you could say I have a love/hate relationship with fashion. I hate it, but need to keep up with it if anything is ever going to fit me- which it usually doesn't. I like to look nice, but prefer jeans and a t-shirt most of the time.

Briggins presents his top 25 albums of 2007 in hopes of influencing your vote
It's number one on that AP best of... and a couple of blogs I've seen...

Albums of the Year: 2007 - The Countdown
Um... at this point I'll say it depends. If it's an emergency I thought that was on my list already, or I just missed the deadline moment, I'll consider it. If it's an oh crap I wish I had thought of that sooner, I'm not even letting myself do that. Mainly, there are a couple of too short lists that need a bit of work... I wouldn't mind those people making changes, but otherwise...

6 down, 39 to go, and a snowstorm giving me nothing better to do. ...Well until the power goes out, anyway. Maybe Wednesday is a good idea after all.

Exactly. Well, unless you get hypothermia...

A question about fashion/General fashion stuff
^ Ok, I think I know what you mean... The girl on the Sarah Jane Adventures wears clothes like that all the time. I mainly associate it with younger kids, though... or maybe it's more specifically in Britain? Dunno. It really is the 80s all over again. Although I can say from years wearing a knee-length kilt at a private school in the middle of winter, you do develop a strange sort of immunity to the cold after a while...

Radiohead
I'm really curious about that Burial remix... been listening to Burial on and off ever since Thom played them on the webcast. Don't generally like remixes, but then there's always that one that's better than the original. Drat it being Christmas when they release absolutely everything.

A question about fashion/General fashion stuff
Yeah, leggings (of various lengths) have been back in for a couple of years now, along with many other retro 80's styles, and tunic dresses are supposedly the big thing this fall. So I'm not surprised you're seeing a lot of people wearing that. I am surprised that they're wearing the cropped leggings in winter, when the full length ones would be fine. Of course it's also been a trend for a few years now to purposely wear light summery clothes in winter and just deal with it for the sake of fashion, so.... :\ Wouldn't catch me dead in them, myself... look like giant potato sacks on hourglass shapes. *grumble*

Albums of the Year: 2007 - The Countdown
I'm counting it- it's a proper album given an official release somewhere in the world this year, and you're not the only person who voted for it, if memory serves me right. There are actually a number of international albums that were voted for, so rather than sort them out I'll just count them.

Thanks for sorting out the threads, Dave. ;)

I killed it!!!! oh no!!!!
I sometimes wonder what Thom would think if he stumbled on here and saw all the silly Christmas avatars of himself. Or better yet, Chris... :shocked2:

Albums of the Year: 2007 - The Countdown
A couple of days after boxing day was my original idea- time to finish, people are still on vacation, and they've gotten bored of their new stuff by then. But on the other hand, I'm really antsy to know how it turned out now too...

Albums of the Year: 2007 - The Countdown
^^ Thanks, I'll send you guys a PM when I know what's happening. I probably won't be online at all tomorrow- company coming. Will take me a couple of days just to get all the lists together, and then time to compile all the other stuff into posts. Wonder what a good day is for a countdown, anyway?... It's more fun when there's more people around.

Albums of the Year: 2007 - The Countdown
So, anyone still interested in helping dig up album info for the countdown? If I had a team of about 3 people to look up artwork, reviews, videos, ect. it would really lighten the load all around and make for something special.
