Albums of the Year: 2007 - Now Closed.
Sure, as long as they're proper original releases and they came out this year... not singles or b-sides or remixes or live or the like. If it has been released previously, it doesn't count. So for example, I'll allow the Flight of the Conchords EP- sure the songs have been around for years, (at least for us crazy Figwit fans, anyway) but this is the first time they've done a proper studio release of those songs.

Albums of the Year: 2007 - Now Closed.
^All the new lists should be up there now Both the Gorillaz and Killers albums are off limits because they're collections of b-sides and remixes- previously released material rather than a proper album. Sorry.

Mark, show your face!
 For someone so nosy, he sure can be private... I just can't figure out if he's really a kid, or a crusty old geezer... because he acts like both...

Fast food = death (and also some football talk)
They taste like your standard poultry spices to me... Maybe it's the type of oil? Or maybe deep frying it does something to it? Or maybe they do use some sort of artificial flavor or preservative in the spices that some people react badly to? Or maybe just all of those put together.... :stunned:

Briggins presents his top 25 albums of 2007 in hopes of influencing your vote
I have to be in just the right mood for it, but it's so great... totally deserves to be on the list imho. I really wish they weren't such an ADD trigger... everyone says such great things about them, but I can't sit still through a single song for some reason. :(

But I've had really oily chicken from other places before... especially some of my own cooking misjudgements... it never affects me like KFC... I really wish I didn't like how it tastes so much sometimes... thankfully I rarely eat out at all.

Know that feeling... we had KFC for lunch when I helped my brother move... was nautious for the rest of the day. I really wonder what makes it so bad sometimes... it is just chicken and oil after all...

Albums of the Year: 2007 - Now Closed.
^added. ;) Um Briggins, that picture isn't working... I think you need to find a different place to host it or something. Anyway, 11 days left! People who have made lists might want to start checking them over and finalising them; I'm going to try to get emails out to people who need to make changes before this weekend. I know there are at least a couple of lists that are still too short.

If You Were Brian Eno How Would You Produce LP4?
I'd tell Chris that he needs to do some creative writing exercises like try to write a song where not one single thing can rhyme. I love Swallowed in the Sea, but the triple decker rhymes in that drive me a bit batty. Chris really needs to learn to focus on some of the other elements that go into great poetry, and from what I've heard about the guy, if anyone can do that, Eno can.

It's ok, I added your first post to the front page, so that's the one you should edit if you want to make any changes.

A messy bedroom thread
Mine too, pleeeease! No, not really... I loose too many things when they're organized in an organized way. The organized mess on the other hand... :laugh3: It's funny because it's so true. Found a place for every one of my cds when I cleaned up (important to do every once in a while so I know if any get lost.) Very first thing to get scattered everywhere again?.... Music stuff.

What Happens To Your Body If You Drink A Coke Right Now?
Well, there needs to be an element of balance too. I still have a little bit of pop every once in a while because I still love it even if the colour, flavor and sugar give me a headache, and I would probably eat a lot more crap than I do if I didn't have so many allergies and chemical sensitivities. But there is a difference between once every 3 months, and 3 times a day (like my brother does). If you really look closely, people have been eating a freakish amount of additives in recent years, and although there are supposed "acceptable levels", no one really seems to know what happens when all these different things interact. Obviously it's not leathal or anything, at least not in the short term, but it may come back to haunt us.

Hey Briggins, do you want me to put your post on the blurb list in the albums thread? And when was that picture taken? ... Guess I'll have to check these guys out. edit: Ok, I saw part of the video for outside the city once on tv and liked it, but I didn't know who it was by. Nice to know. :D

Could WE Survive Without Cars...Or Any Other Form Of Motorized Transportation?
1 Sounds like where some of my relatives live in Pennsylvania- Amish buggies everywhere. It was neat. 2 Well that's a relief, They've only been advertising that one coming soon for about 4 or 5 years, at least. 3 Did not know that... huh.

If you had to give something up...
The internet. I was fine without it. I gave it up again when I went somewhere without access for a year- just read the paper alot more instead. But life has re-formed itself around the net. I don't know if it is even possible any more.
