  1. Sounds awesome! I'll give it a try :)
  2. Ahah, I have to say Sofia is a bit in a hurry to know the tracks name and the identity of her partner :D
  3. Not at all, like ''une atmosphère légère'' :P I mean that it looks like it was pleasant and easy to listen to it.
  4. So true :) A-chan > lovely review, très leger! I can't wait to discover your tracklist either!
  5. Oh thank you for cheering me up Violet, everyone sounds so impressive but well... that's just a game after all :D
  6. violetsparks > that review was AWESOME, I feel ridiculous now... (I think I guessed your Track 11 band :))
  7. I will for sure, tonight, prob on your page so it doesn't get too messy in here :) I'll come back to my normal life for few hours and I'll be back. ps. YEAHHHHHHH PETER GABRIEL !!!! Sofia > Frenchies are the first (maybe we're too much into this game, or into music ?) XD
  8. I so guessed that because of the length of the mixtape :D
  9. Ok, so I hope my partner won't blame me for posting that cause I was under pressure :D HERE WE GOOO, FIRST REVIEW (I'm so courageous ahah) Track 1 > Awesome, I’d totally listen to that all day long. Those girls voices in the background could totally fit in a 1960’s movie. Couldn’t start the mixtape in a better way as it makes it quite mysterious. Track 2 > I.L.O.V.E.I.T, a friend of mine is a PG fan and I’m pretty sure that’s him, although it sounds older than the kind of stuff she made me listen to so I’d say it’s from Genesis. Well… or maybe it’s too ‘‘popy’’ to be Genesis? Anyway if I’m told this ain’t PG, I will… I will… well I don’t know what I’ll do but I’d be really surprised! Track 3 > That one is awesome, I love the music and the voice. I thought it’d be R.E.M at the very beginning but it’s def not. ‘‘I’m going to make this, my ownnn’’. Good good one Track 4 > Good track. Enjoying it a lot, light, but not bright. I’m going to like this mixtape. Track 5 > HO HO. DADDY’S GONE. That’s the song name I recognized. I love Glasvegas. Lemme sing a bit: I won’t be the lonely one sitting on my own and sad, forget your dad he’s gone, forget your DA’. HE’S. GONE. HE’S GONE. HE’S GONE. HE’S GOoooOOoNE. HO hoooo HO HO. HE’S GONE, HE’S GONE, HE’S GoooooOoone. Track 6 > sounds great, a bit like a light BobDylan-ish song ahah. I’m pretty sure I know the voice, can’t tell who that is though… Track 7 > What the hell is that? Is there an hidden message? It’s quite surprising after such a good beginning. I can’t deny I don’t like that one, is that Rihanna? (I think I’d actually prefer Rihanna to that ahaha, no offense). The truth is, I liked the 30 first seconds. Track 8 > Got scared after the previous track (I didn’t want the whole tape to sound like the Track 7 ahah) but I actually found this one very interesting and good in its way. Can’t really tell where it comes from, is that a soundtrack? I’ll def keep this one. Glad to discover how music sounds like on the moon! (if others are wondering: it’s an instrumental song which sounds quite experimental but soft… and cute) Track 9 > Back on the planet Hearth. Was wondering what it was but then I noticed the artwork. Had never listened to them before (although I heard they were great as an opening band for Coldplay), I’m finding them a slightly bit boring but they’re ok. I think Tom Smith’s voice on this track would make it brilliant… (I adore the end of the track) Track 10 > How peaceful. Once again I’m pretty sure I heard that voice before, although it’s not really the kind of things I’d listen to so I guess I heard my dad (who’s not gone) listening to it :D I’m clapping too. Track 11 > What a ‘‘bewitching’’ voice. It’s getting moving. So far that mixtape might have been a bit too calm for me but this is actually quite pleasant. Partner, are you a guy or a girl XD?... Let’s say a guy… Track 12 > Yeah seems we’ll wake up a bit. Like it. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Franz Ferdinand got inspired by such a song ahah. I like that chorus! Seems like there’s lots of old songs, I’m not used to oldies so it’s quite good for my culture. Thank you so much for that, I feel like I’m learning. Track 13 > What a BEAUTIFUL intro on the piano. I’m not really into that girl’s voice though, pity cause the music and the lyrics are great. Track 14 > I like the fact there’s always a slightly punchy song following a slow one, it flows well. I’m not really liking that one, sounds a bit too much like… a musical or something to me (and as a Frenchy, I’m not really into musicals ahah) Track 15 > Yeahh, I so started to think there were soundtracks in there, now I’m 99% sure about it. I love soundtracks, and if that’s one, it’is great. Is that a Tim Burton movie? Track 16 > Not liking that one, I love female singers but I don’t like this one’s voice. The track is getting stressing after 2:20, not into that strange rhythm ahah. Track 17 > And back to peaceful tracks, yeah! Still sounds a bit old and thus unfamiliar to me but I’m happy to discover new stuff. Don’t think I could listen to those kind of things a lot though, but once a while, it’s quite cool. Track 18 > BRILLIANT. I guess that’s a soundtrack again? Very moving, beautiful. Track 19 > I’m loving the music a fucking lot and although I dislike those kind of voices, I could totally get addicted to such a track. I guess I’m ‘‘so easy to please’’ :D Can’t wait until the end of the mixtape to listen to it again actually… Track 20 > I like the kind of tension we can feel in that song, it’s a great ending to such a mixtape. To conclude, I’d say this made me feel a bit like I didn’t know much about music, I kinda mainly listen to bands from the 90’s so it was great to increase my knowledge. It sounded like a mix between the kind of stuff I listen to and the kind of stuff my dad listens to. All the songs flow well together except from the very unexpected track 7 which made me laugh. I’d say my fav tracks are the first ones (until Track 6). It might have been a bit too slow for me afterward but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Glad to hear songs which sound like soundtracks as well! By the way, unknown partner, I can’t thank you enough for what I’ll call the ‘‘Peter Gabriel track’’, I’m totally addicted to that one and can’t stop listening to it. Can’t wait to know the tracklist, I’ll def listen to the mixtape again! Thanks Bryce, thanks awesome partner :)
  10. What if it sucks, what if I don't have enough vocabulary as a foreigner? :D (I'm listening to the mixtape for the last time to make sure my review is fair)
  11. I feel a bit weird being the first one to post a review (although I'm ready), does anyone want to go first :D?
  12. Just dled mine, gonna take a nap and listen to it after. I could see the titles of the songs so I deleted them trying not to look at them but I could recognize one song. Thank you dear unknown partner (ps :I'm so happy I received a very long mixtape, the more the better :D) EDIT : I couldn't resist listening to the first tracks and I love them, I'm too tired to think but I have the strange feeling I'm listening to some Peter Gabriel with Genesis, might be wrong though hehe... Anyway I'll be back later with a review. I'm even more excited now XD
  13. Ohhh que non, le depart n'est PAS The hardest part, believe me, d'ailleurs 7 mois après l'effet "retour" fait toujours des siennes. Tu ne perdras jamais ceux que tu laisses six mois! :bighug: Desolée pour le manque d'activité, I guess R&R are too busy... Allez, joie de vivre à partager...
  14. Jealous of those who got to know after I sent mine that we were allowed to go beyond the limit of 70 minutes :D (anyway I wouldn't really be jealous, it's just a -cool- game)
  15. ^ I don't think that would work, did you try to replace the artwork (usually that software or itunes) by a picture (of a black square or whatever) ?
  16. YES cause people like me will be jealous, I wish I were able to put more. Too late anyway, I managed to make a 70 min one
  17. huu yes it does have to be mp3 files compressed into a .zip or .rar file actually... Once you deleted everything (on itunes, for instance) you've got to find the original mp3 file on your computer... I mean, I think so  This is getting quite confusing XD
  18. ^ Instead of deleting, you should try to rename with fake info (seems it worked for Italian Plastic) :) If it doesn't work, I dunno, try to change info by clicking ''right'' AND change them also on itunes or something like this...
  19. ^ Maybe you should try replacing it by another picture (black square if you don't want to make an artwork ?)
  20. Ça n'arrête pas quelqu'un qui y vit à l'année je pense (cf les anglais en tongs en hiver) :D
  21. Profite avant vendredi (profite vendredi aussi) ! :)
  22. Congrats, you're doing an amazing job !
