Transporation options from LI/NYC to Hartford. So who here knows the best way to get to Hartford from Long Island? Here are the options I've figured: PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS: Bus from NYC to Harford: -Take bus from 32nd St to Hartford (Boston Deluxe bus) -Take bus from Hartford to Port Authority (Peter Pan bus) Costs: $17(Boston Deluxe), $27 (Peter Pan). Total : $44. Time: 2 hrs (1st bus), 2hrs 30mins (2nd bus) Pros: Easy, no transfers. Cheapest(public transportation wise) Cons: Only way to get back is to take 12:30am bus which would arrive at NYC at 3:00am Port Jefferson Ferry to Bridgeport to Hartford -Take Port Jefferson Ferry to Bridgeport, -Take train at Bridgeport to New Haven -Take train at New Haven to Hartford Trip back to NY -Take bus from Hartford to Port Authority Costs: $17(ferry), $6RT(1st train-Metro North), $11 or $16(2nd train-Amtrak), $27 (bus) Total: $61 or $67 Time: 1 hr 15 mins (ferry), 28 mins (1st train), 41 to 56 mins(2nd train), 2 hr 30 mins (bus) CONS: Only way to get back is to take 12:30am bus which would arrive at NYC at 3:00am, a lot of transfers and time. Costs a lot of money. DRIVING: Nassau County to Hartford, CT Through Throgs Neck Bridge to I-95 Costs: $5 or $10(bridge), toll on I-95? Parking in Hartford: $10 to $15. Gas. Time: 2 hours, assuming no traffic. lol. Pros: Quickest, don't have to worry about catching bus or train. Can go to Ikea Hartford, lingonberries and meatballs. Cons: You have to drive, the environment. unfortunately, it looks like the easiest way to get there is to drive. I would be open to carpooling with some people on this board, it'll be fun, cost-effective, and more environmentally friendly. PM me, if you are interested in carpooling. We can all meet up somewhere.

TODAY SHOW (27th JUNE) COLDPLAYING EXCLUSIVE OVER - VIP PASS WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Is this panty and bra throwing a new Coldplay tradition, like throwing squid at a Red Wings game. Do I have to bring some undergarmets with me for the next show I'm going to? White panties with a red 'V' on it.

How is everyone getting there? Driving, train, bus? I would carpool if anyone is headed from NYC/Long Island area.

I want to make my own "V" shirt with some red watercolor paint and I already have one of those military jackets. It'll be a cute outfit.

The very front floor section and the first 2 to 3 loge and 100 sections closest to the stage.

26-Oct-08: East Rutherford, NJ (1st night) - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
I might go to the Monday show, but there's a bus that leaves from Port Authority that goes to Izod so no need for a car.

The bitching is so unnecessary, I considered this show a sneak peek of the full tour. I don't know what other people expected. Now I have to figure how to get through the rest of the week since Monday was already the highlight of the week. I can't wait til 8/2/2008 when I'll be covered with confetti and 4 rows off from the left runway.

This is a blurry photo I took from MSG on 6/23/08 just as they told me not to take pictures: http://picasaweb.google.com/ericawjim/ColdplayMSG62308/photo#5215319559595453202 I don't know how to directly insert the picture in. All the t-shirts were USD $30 and a poster was USD $10

Those are million dollar balls, seriously? I'm fine with the big screen on the back, the balls are kinda in the sight line of some seats.

Here are my photos: http://tinyurl.com/66mdbz Once again to warn, not great. I can't give a good set list but they started with Life in Technicolor. Played(not in this order) Square One, In My Place, Strawberry Swing, Lost!, Viva La Vida, Lovers in Japan, Violet Hill, Yellow, Trouble, Clocks, Cemeteries of London, Fix You. I might have left some or added some in.

I had a freak out when they went into the crowd during yellow, I was in section 128 aisle and ran down to try to get closer. It was almost as good as the last MSG when Chris was like 5 rows in front of me during "In My Place." The place was more packed than I thought it would be, security was super lax, we didn't even put on our wristbands. I took my friend to his first Coldplay concert and he loved it. He also liked that for once he was in MSG for someone that doesn't suck like the Knicks. I was so excited that I forgot what the set list was. My favorite songs live from this album is "Lost!" and "Viva La Vida." My pictures suck being in the section I was, but I'll put them up too so everyone can see the layout and stuff.

I can't wait for the show, I'm all antsy in the office. I'll be in Koreatown before the show either eating galbi or fried chicken.

It's the Best Buy presale code, but the tickets are all gone anyways. Good Luck in the general sale.

Some resellers are already selling tickets because they have season tickets for concerts.

If I flag them and make them go away, does that mean us fans can move into nicer seats?

I think everyone got the same red wristbands.

I'm happy someone here got floor seats though Floor 10 is still another far back section. I am awaiting word from everyone else who gets tickets here to make more guesses about the stage set up. From scanning the craigslist ads(yes, there are people trying to sell their tix) and here, it looks like people have gotten tickets in: Floor Sections 5, 7, 9 10 Loge 40 Sections 102, 103, 128 Section 202, 206 Section 305

I got my tickets and it's Section 128 Row F, it's not great but it could be worse. I see someone else here got Section 101. I wonder if the show is in full seating mode or half seating mode since it seems kinda far back for a half empty arena.

As long as this "No Camera" policy is not a repeat of the Flight of the Conchords concert I went to at Town Hall where they really meant it. The ushers shined flashlights at people that were taking pictures and some people had them confiscated after repeated tries. It was so overkill. It put a slight damper on the happy mood of the concert. The tickets might be arriving today, tracking number says it has been processed at the local distribution PO.
