I have just realised that my post has stirred quite a lot of things up. So, this is just to clarify that the tour dates are all absolutely UNCONFIRMED at the moment!!! But it's also not a hoax. Can't say more at the moment. We will have to wait a couple of weeks until the official announcement of the tour.

Well, December 13, 2011 is set for a gig at Bercy. And summer 2012 at the Stade de France. So France will be served quite well, I suppose.... :-)

Well, they did stadium shows in August/September 2009 in Europe, didn't they? So I don't see any reason why they wouldn't do it on this tour. And listening to ETIAW I just see and hear "STADIUM" screaming throughout the whole song....

I'm expecting an arena tour in the US. At least on the first leg of the US tour. However, I suppose when the album and the first part of the tour will be a huge success we could expect stadium shows throughout the world. 2011 November - December Arena Tour Europe 2012 January - March Arena Tour Europe / UK 2012 March - May Arena Tour North America 2012 June - August Stadium Tour Europe (incl UK) 2012 August - September Outdoor shows North America 2012 October - December Arena and stadium shows in Latin America, Australia and Asia

...nothing is impossible.... :-)

I guess they're not really the kick off for the actual tour. I suppose they could be considered as the end of the "outdoor"-tour. As there are not really any festivals in South Africa they're playing these shows there. I think the tour will kick off in some major European arena.

Well. If I'm not mistaken the current leg of the tour includes festival dates in Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South America as well as Africa... not? This is covering all continents (excluding Antarctica...) on a short tour, which is quite impressive. So once the album is out and the actual LP5 - tour kicks off, it has to start somewhere. And I'm almost 100% sure that the tour will kick off in Europe! PS: I could also complain about the current tour as no Swiss date has been scheduled... :-( So I will HAVE to wait to see them until November or December this year.

...and it's the song that made me discover Coldplay in the first place...

Everything seems possible afterwards. Looking at their previous tours it would make sense to contunue well into 2013.

From my experience from other announcements this information published here was ALWAYS correct. For example for the Viva La Vida tour, for U2, Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers and George Michael gigs in France they always had the correct dates and venues. So I dare to say that December 13 is fixed. There is a gap in the programme at the Bercy, so the date seems to make sense. So we can expect annoucements of the dates and venues in Europe very soon. And I suppose it will be the "usual" arenas in Europe like: Palais Omnisport de Paris Bercy, Paris, France Lanxass Arena, Cologne, Germany O2 World, Hamburg, Germany O2 World, Berlin, Germany Ericsson Globe, Stockholm, Sweden Spektrum, Oslo, Norway Jyske Bank Boxe, Herning, Denmark Sportpaleis, Antwerpen, Belgium Ahoy, Rotterdam, Netherlands Stadthalle, Vienna, Austria Olympiahalle, Munich, Germany Hallenstadion, Zurich, Switzerland Mediolanum Forum, Milan, Italy Palau Sant Jordi, Barcelona, Spain etc...
