i'm usually quiet when i'm angry. but if it's someone i care about a lot and i care about what's happening i usually say something. recently i've TRIED to start waiting until i talk. but it doesn't always work. however i'm pretty good at keeping my mouth shut with most people. sometimes though... it just comes out. i don't even realize what i'm saying or what i've done until the instant is over. I almost bursted out at someone recently and it would have been horrible. he was such a jerk, but i contained myself. we were playing a stupid card game and he was practically giving me a lecture on every tiny mistake i made. and i had just spent a couple hours with the guy in his car, riding up to the mountains and listening to his songs... and spent time waiting for him to do business stuff. and listening to him how he speaks to his wife and suddenly he's super nice to people at work got on my nerves. but i didn't say anything after he gave me that lecture. i think (not to him) but to the other guys it was pretty obvious how mad i was. I made a puff of anger for a second... because i was about to speak and I just KNOW my face was blood red... and that hasn't happened in years. WHEW I've been holding that :o
  6. it should be up to the girl. if she wants muscular legs, that's cool. if she's super skinny she doesn't have to change. if she's overweight she doesn't have to change just to make other people happy
  7. that's disturbing in about 20 different ways :wreck:
  8. erm, I thought I hit submit only once
  9. I believe this is my first sonnet. It is for British Literature, written entirely in iambic pentameter in the Italian/Petrarchan rhyme scheme abba abba cdcd ee “Shaken Winter” It’s cold in winter times, the days are short; the nails and bricks start loosening their cracks, but I must look beyond the winter’s tricks, and find myself a positive retort. And from my spirit shaken or ignored, I’ll carry winter’s coldest nights in sacks; where in the summer, there will it unpack so I can strike the longer days their chords. And in those moments will the sonnet’s farce be true to sadness, coldness, and the word- its ‘torment’ solemn, darken summer’s course; no matter that to you may look absurd- To die in light, that is my holy vow. To live through night, that will I try somehow.

  12. well I have been sort of harassed once. but it's not like I couldn't defend myself. And it wasn't by a girl. it was a man in his 40s or something. At first he was just being nice and I just thought he was being friendly. But then he started saying things and practically stalking me. This was when I was working at a mall in Charlotte in a Cinnabon. I remember the first thing he said to me was that I had a great smile. I thought it was like the nicest compliment I ever heard. Maybe I'm gullible but it took me forever to realize he was hitting on me. It wasn't until I misunderstood him say "have you ever been with an older man?" that I realized he wanted something from me. Then when I left he was really trying to hit on me. Luckily I had the chance to tell them I didn't want to work there, because I was already working at a different location for the same company. This was not a major thing though. I'm sure a lot of people here have experienced much much worse than that.
