Okay, well... Basically Jess claimed that her cousin went to school with Guy. We asked for some pictures from yearbooks or whatever she could get, and she said okay. Then it was this whole thing of "I promise I'll get the yearbook from my cousin, I'll post pics soon, I promise" -- but she never ever would, and never did :P She was dangling a carrot while we were hopping on a treadmill, dammit. We should've caught on quicker, I guess :P

I like to blab, so here's my story :P : I used to leave the radio on at night so I could fall asleep to it. In 2003, while staring nowhere in the dark waiting to doze off, I heard the opening of Clocks come on. I was 14 years old. That piano had me instantly hooked. Then I heard the voice, which wasn't like anything I'd really heard before (his falsetto was something else to me). I just layed there and concentrated on the song for five minutes, getting lost in it, determined to remember it in the morning so I could find out what it was called and who it was by -- especially since I didn't end up catching what the DJ said. It was stuck in my head for a week. I remember clearly: It was toward the end of my 8th grade school year in May, and I could barely pay attention in algebra class because I had that song (or at least what I remembered of it) in my head :D Eventually I Googled the lyrics to find out the title and band. I downloaded Clocks and Yellow, which I later heard and loved. Then I heard The Scientist on the radio and I couldn't get enough of it. A few weeks later I finally decided to buy A Rush of Blood to the Head -- my first CD ever, by Coldplay, who became my first favorite band ever, and in 2005, my first concert ever. For these "first" events, and for the joy they've brought me and what they've gotten me and my family through, Coldplay and their music will always be an important part of my life. :)
