  1. Lana: Well, I suppose the film emphasizes these racist aspects, otherwise they couldn’t have created that film, I guess. There’re some comunities which have more racist troubles, and another ones are more respectful, but I reckon it’s not usual that exists such a place which has the high level of racism the film shows. - thanks to god or whoever! - Yes, I know what you mean, Lana. I know it’s a part of the story – and the scene I mentioned was quite important, it nearly was the highlight of the film – because the main one was when he precisely was the one who saved the woman of the crash and that fire and thanks to him she was alive. Odd coincidence, I know, and I agree with you, this is how real life works and hopefully he has learnt something. And once, again, you’re right, I’m conscious that exists that kind of people who do not have any qualms. :\ I also remember the situation of her husband, he felt denfeceless and didn’t know what to do. It’s normal, because the experience they lived wasn’t an usual one. I couldn’t really explain why I need to put on the character shoes but I can only say when I’m not able to do it, I don’t usually like the film and this is a fact (for me). I do need to find a reason (s) why someone acts that way or the opposite one and I start applying this kind of rule to myself, as well. When I don’t know why I said or did something, or I don’t find a good explanation for that, it makes me feel really depressive. That happened to me a while ago, and it was a kinda tough period to me. To be honest I don’t remember the music of the film, but I’m gonna download the song and I’ll let you know my opinion!! Thanks for the link, Lana!! You meant disgusting because of the gay scenes? Oh, I think they were very sweet and they weren’t really explicit, honestly. Or maybe you weren’t refering to that.. :uhoh:
  2. happy birthday Ophelie!! :D Hope you have a good one and that you reach your London-dream!!!
  4. thank you so much, Charles!!! Have fun with your friend this afternoon! And yes, that happened to me, starting reading a book and then giving it up - but it usually happens when the book is boring as hell, otherwise, I keep on reading it! the beach? that sounds good - hope you had an amazing time over there. ah, y no te preocupes por culpa del squared, ya sabes que a él siempre le gusta poner cizaña - posiblemente porque that turns him on!!!
  5. I've downloaded a few of the bumfest demo's songs in the Albion Arks: - Carry on up the morning ('cos you specially recommended it to me) - Unstookietitled - Unbilotitled but I'll download the rest of songs this afternoon, I'll listen to them properly and afterwards, I'll let you know my opinion - if you're interested in it - what about you? what do you think of them? oh, and by the way, I'm Iris. aww, I'm loving this one!!! Pete looks so adorable!! :nice:
  6. You mean with Lana (indanomati)? Small intro: Everything began 'cos someone from coldplaying had a signature which I liked very much and I told him that - he had in his signature a picture of a film I saw a couple of weeks ago called Babel - we both loved the film. And to be honest, I don't know how I started to talk about Brokeback Mountain - the fact that deserved to win the Accademy Awards. I didn't agree with the fact that Crash had won the awards as the best film. So then Lana said he was happy 'cos of that... and now we were talking about Crash and its main topic: racism and also about some of its scenes. Well, this month I'm having the final exams - I still have to do 2 more until I finish this exams period. Anyway, I only have to go to uni to do them. I spend the rest of my time studying at my home - something really exciting, huh?! I'm glad to know you're having fun in your vacation time. Mine will start next week and will last about a month or so. I really hope I won't be too bored. How about you? How's uni going?
  7. hiya Charles!! :nice: really? that's good to hear!!
  8. well, I could answer you a little bit saying what I said to Tracie. I haven't experienced that racism, probably because there aren't too many foreign people in my country, and I haven't had a proper contact with the ones who live here . Anyway, I don't think we'd have so many racist problems, in case we'd have had that contact. You could? that's good to know. I wasn't able to understand why that policeman tried to abuse of that woman, who was having fun with her husband while he was driving. Why he stopped them. Why the hell he spoiled that good moment for them. Why he made them feel that bad, specially the woman - and afterwards his husband. Such a jerk. And now, tell me, how am I supposed to put under his shoes?! It was an unbelievable attitude, his one. Only who is as dumb as a post would act that way. ewwish?! :laugh4: Sorry, but I can't agree with you at all. For me it's as if someone is asking me: why don't you like that? and I respond: because I don't like that. ^it's just an answer that doesn't say anything. - no offence - What'd have been very surprising is that BM would have won the awards, specially because it's a gay film but not only 'cos of this, but because of its plot, the way that characters played in the film. The music. The atmosphere. The real life it showed. The love between the main characters.
  9. I have some doubts about it, honestly! This is hard to believe, though :uhoh:
  10. don't worry Kara  thanks for posting a "small intro" of the pictures you took!!! and yes, the cam of your mobile must be quite good.
  11. more bulletins  Jan 14, 2007 10:44 PM a Subject: on stage elevenish. dublin castle Body: fingers crossed.
  12. oh, I see what you mean, I thought you looked at his pictures more attentiously. Just kidding. Anyway, I suppose there're periods which you are more interested in one band member, but as time goes by, then you begin to feel more interest for another one and what's more, there're so many lovely men to pay attention here! :nice:
  13. that's what I was about to say Dani. That picture is the best one!
  14. Lana: maybe you think I didn't watch Crash and that's why I said that BM deserved to win the award but no, I saw both films, and honestly, I didn't like Crash, I find it pretentious although it had something real - the racism it showed and also, the fact there's no baddy, nor the opposite thing on the film. This was real, but by the other things... oh, well. I almost forgot. Racism: yeah, I think it was a different topic; it showed it in all of its sides, but, being honest, I didn't feel represented in the film at all because I don't live in a place with that atmosphere of racism - at least not here where I currently live. I even talked about the bad impression I had of the film with my companion and he thought just the same. Maybe the racism that showed suits with the U.S reality, I don't know, but it has nothing to do with MY REALITY and that's the main reason I didn't like the film. I wasn't able to put on the character's shoes, I didn't understand why they acted that way. So racist. So unreal for me.
  15. oh, you did it? wow!! yes, that's true although I can't remember all of its songs, just that they matched perfectly with the scenes. I see what you mean. Songs for chilling out or even... having inspiration, if you write poems or whatever!
  16. yes, I have heard something of Gustavo Santaolalla! I remember I read his name somewhere - :idea2: in the credits of the film I'm sure it'll be nominated - almost sure. Brokeback's Mountain soundtrack was great - I downloaded most of its songs. Babel's soundtrack is really good too - I specially remember a couple of songs: - When Cate B. will be shot by one of the children, just the moments before of this. I remember that guitar sounds so... sad. - When that japanese girl goes to the discoteque. That was very shocking. :stunned:
  17. ^^ and also I hoped the same for Brokeback Mountain - though it didn't win! :( I think it's a candidate for the Accademy Awards but I'm not sure. I don't think the other candidates (films) can't even compare to Babel. They have nothing to do!!
  18. you're welcome and yes, I do know it!! what's more, it's not hard to adore such film... I wish it wins the Accademy Awards as the best film this year!!!
  19. Miro, I wanted to tell you I really like the pic and the lines of your signature. It makes me think of Babel and the amazing time I had while watching that film.
  20. I know you do!!! It's just that I was thinking these pictures could be a good source of inspiration for writing a fiction... *bumsexing* I'm sure that someone must have written a story about them!!!
  21. aww:blush: I just love Carl's glance in the picture he is with Adam Green!!! I really liked the porn shots you both have posted today. Srly. :sneaky: Carl's bumsexing Didz... omg!!! I think they're a good pairing____ :idea2:
  22. ^^^ great!!! I can't wait to see them all... specially the vid!!! woooow!! :stunned: Fantastic shots, they all look so close to you. I specially like the picture you're with Drew. You both look lovely!!!!
  23. haha, definitely Tea!!! hope he'll let us know more info... specially for Steph, 'cos she may go to the gig!!! Dani, I didn't know what to think about that space either. :laugh4: I thought an old-woman had added me but... :uhoh: I think I am wrong. gah! :embarassed: don't pay attention to what I said. I went nuts and my mind... Sorry.
