yeah 4 year old logic is sometimes hard to follow... but right now piano = moving, so he thinks he should just not be good at it anymore. i am working on that train of thought.

he has got it in his head if he continues to play, then he will have to move... i have been trying really hard to convince him that is not true.

well i know this was tearing me up thinking about it. part of me is happy he made it so easy for me. he was absolutely heart breaking :cry: . so i had to do a lot of talking just to convince him to keep up his lessons.

on the first page of this thread is the whole story... it is wayyyyy too long to tell. read it if you have time :) .

i guess so... i suppose the moral of the story here is that no matter how sophisticated a little kid seems, don't expect them to make life decisions before they are at least :/ 5 or 6 :lol:

ok - well me and christopher went out to eat and to the movies last night. i laid out the whole scenario about the school, moving, etc, etc. and his first response was... "why would i ever want to do that?" :/ o....k..... so i tell him some of the good things about it... and still, not interested. i ask him why. he said he is not leaving here. he is not leaving his friends. he is not leaving his grandparents and uncles. and this was before i even mentioned him going by himself for awhile... which after all this, i didn't because he was already crying. so the subject is closed for now because he won't talk about it at all and said he is not going to piano lessons any more if that means he has to go somewhere else... so :confused: i don't know what to do except just let it ride for awhile... thank you all for your advise. i live somewhere where music and art are not very highly regarded, so it was helpful to have some opinions from people who do value these things. thanks!! ;)

Yes, homecoming, with the cutest boy in town! :D yay for you mandy!!! i am busier that a mutha this weekend, just popped on to see of anything earth shattering was happening in coldplay land. i am soooo happy for you!! when is it? and you have to tell me details. i LOVE this stuff!! it is times like this is wish i had a younger sis. i just have brothers :confused: . you can be my adopted coldplay sis :) .

oh i totally understand the act... it just seems freakish to me to have so many people care about where you are doing it. i wonder if the press will report what position she was in at conception :rolleyes: .

thanks bonnie, i appreciate your opinions :) . i have decided just to totally follow his lead and not pressure him one way or another. as long as he is happy, i will be able to deal with whatever i need to. and feel free to come chat. ;)

my favorite oldie changes all the time... but the "philadelphia story" and "mr. deeds goes to town" are my current faves.
