Corricopatcat

C o r r i c o p a t c a t a play on a name (Corricopat) in T.S.Elliott's poem "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats". I first heard of it when I heard it quoted on "Logan's Run" by an actor I adored, named, uhm, erm, gosh I can't think of his name all of a sudden. Oh, yes, it was charmingly rendered by Peter Ustinov. Well, of course, i was just a wee child, but I immediately jotted it down and went hunting for a year or more till I found the source of it (this was before the Internet). Or....did you want my REAL name? :o

I dunno, if we are being all exclusive about this, anyway, oh well, ya know it WAS a DUMB idea. My Bad. :blush:

At one point when Guy had no base line to play, he wandered back into the dark and scarfed a cig and a long neck from one of the roadies and started really dragging hard on it, then alternating with a swig on the beer. I never saw anyone pull down a cigarette so fast LOL! Someone on another thread had wanted a picture of Guy smoking, I don't remember which one.

No, I can't jump that high. It sailed over my head and caused a brief scramble among about six folks immediately behind me. By the way, I don't mean Guy has a mean streak. More mischievous, really. I love it when he gets a glint in those beautiful brown eyes! Chris also tossed something that landed literally at my feet as I turned around, but non of us could find what he'd thrown. :cry: I suspect it may have been one of his finger tapes. I will never not be in the pit again, even though the whole standing for eight hours is more than my back can handle. It is wonderful to see them up close. I had also bought a pit ticket for my best friend, and she was overwhelmed to be so close. Never been so close to a band before. She loved it! Best present I ever got for her, I think. You were lucky to see the boys at the SECC. What is the SECC? :confused:

If our schools ("public") were not so run by our government, (we do have free schools that is, schools free from government control, this is the meaning of freedom. These non-government-schools are just marginalized, though growing here) we'd already be speaking Farsi, Mandarin (at least) and one of the Indian and Vietnamese dialects. :rolleyes: But the government thinks we should speak, I dunno, French, or some such useless language. :rolleyes: The French are only useful to the Germans and the Russians. Was in a car wreck the week of Atlanta (while I was driving there to see Coldplay). You know, it is a peculiar state of affairs when one mourns missing the performance of a British rock band MORE than worrying about 5000 dollars damage to one's car. I have missed three of the six gigs I was planning to see this summer. BUH-MER. But I was in the pit at Nissan, so all is not lost. Anyway, we'll see.

It seemed to me the bear (looked like a Turkish bear to me, could be wrong) was a perfect image of frustration. Like when you try to communicate and just can't break through. I found it moving.
