  1. on a separate note I think leftrighleftrightleft will be a more political song
  2. I don't understand why everyone is rushing to judgment on the new album based on track titles. Personally I like the choices. But even if you don't we haven't heard a single song from the album yet we should give it a chance. Keep an open mind about the album at least till the first single comes out. It's good that the band is moving in a new direction. X&Y was an enjoyable album but it was at times bloated and unfocused. A new sound and a more concise track list may be exactly the kind of rejuvenation the band needs.
  3. I like the leaked version, but the released version is just so elegantly driven and it's one of the best written songs I've ever heard. It's hard to beat the released version but the demo comes close.
  4. I don't think we should fear a "radical" change. These are the same musicians with the same talents and abilities. Chris' voice won't morph into that of Jay Z and Guy and Jonny's string arrangements won't shift into hillbilly tunes. Their influences on the album will be different as they should be. If they kept remaking the same album over it may be alright with us fans since we love that same ole album so much but it may get musically unsatisfying for the group which would in all likelyhood cause them to to take a downturn in the quality of their music. It's when these guys are inspired that they make good music and I think we're seeing those signs for this upcoming 4th album.
  5. I wouldn't mind an album fashioned after sleeping sun.
  6. Talk is great. You just feel like getting up and dancing when they hang you over the edge with that slowly crescendoing guitar solo.
  7. I went too. Martin was only like 20 feet from me during In My Place. It really was a great concert. They played every song so well it was money well spent. Clocks, yellow, White Shadows, In My Place, The Scientist, Fix You, Swallowed In The Sea, Talk, Square One, Politik...I loved them all.
  8. X&Y Trying hard to speak and fighting with my weak hand driven to distraction its all part of the plan When something is broken and you try to fix it Trying to repair it anyway you can I dive into the deep end You become my best friend I wanna love you but I don't know if I can I know something is broken and I'm trying to fix it Trying to repair it any way I can Although I strongly believe that one day the lyrics from Square One will be used in a political campaign. "You just want somebody listening to what you say it doesn't matter who you are." It's begging to be used...
  9. Amsterdam, The Scientist, Yellow, Spies, Swallowed In The Sea, Fix You... I can't decide.
  10. A lot of people don't like X&Y the song, I didn't either for a while there, but like every Coldplay album it grew on me after a while. I don't not like any track, but I find Sparks a bit boring.
  11. I really enjoyed Live 2003 and the DVD. I think they were even better live this time so I'd greatly enjoy another Live album. Anyone know of any news about a possible live album?
